Nope. And, by the way, there’s no industry figures body, so motorcycle sales numbers are up in the air for debate. Harley’s numbers have been questioned and found wanting by analysts for a few years now.

That said, all Harley owners are a**holes.

Simple check:

All bikers wave at each other as they pass, regardless of ths bike marque they are riding, unless they are newbies or busy riding. Most will at least do a V-for-victory off the left handgrip.

Except Harley owners.

Scooter riders often won’t because most of them are newbies. Or because their little nervous mounts need more attention because of their tiny wheels - but you’ll get more waves from scooter riders than Harley riders.

You’ll get waves from Indian riders, Victory riders, random custom chopper riders... but not “gen-u-wine” H-D riders.

You might get one or two IF you’re also on a Harley, but more often than not, Harley owners won’t wave to other Harley owners.

So, here’s the check: Go to a city where there are many bikers. Rent a Harley. Drive around. Count the number of waves you get and note who you get them from.

Then rent something not Harley and repeat.

You’ll get more waves from the snobby BMW riders than you will Harley riders in EITHER case.

***

Harley riders are also the only ones so insecure that they will beat up a fellow rider because he’s NOT riding a Harley, and for no other reason. (Happened to me at a rest stop, they weren’t expecting a gun and a cattle prod. Idiots.) And they’re proud of it.

Except Harley owners.

Not so :-)

I wave to everyone unless it's unsafe to do so. We're all out there taking the same chances. I've noticed that folks driving classic cars (especially convertables and such) are fairly friendly as well. IMO, I have enough love and good wishes to share with anyone who wants it. :-)

Thanks for being painted with that broad brush.
You do know that you're giving Honda riders a bad name, don't you?

As for Harley riders not waving - whatever. Almost every rider I meet will give a wave, as do I, no matter WHAT they're riding.

I'm beginning to believe you don't like Harleys and are letting that cloud your judgment about anyone that rides one.

Good luck with that, baseless, grudge.

With the attitude you have for other bikers not riding Hondas, it’s no wonder you got your ass kicked!

Every single motorcycle thread posted here since you joined has some derogatory comments against HD riders by you.

When is the last time you checked your valve clearance on that Nighthawk, Sparky? Care to mention what a PITA that is with your fellow riders? Can’t get parts anymore? What a surprise . . .

I owned a CB750F back in 1981 that would make your 883 troubles look like a walk in the park. Electrical failures left me stranded several times; the bike would simply die in traffic. I got real good at hitting the shoulder at a moment’s notice. The supposedly well built inline four would buzz the fillings out of your teeth an put your hans to sleep. The constant electric buzz through the handlebars meant riding without gloves was NOT an option.

The fact that you’re still riding that Nighthawk, a UJM if there ever was one, says a lot about the validity (ie. narrow-mindedness) of your comments, not to mention the size of your wallet. Perhaps maybe, just maybe, your UJM inspired opinions aren’t the be-all end-all de facto truths you portend them to be.

BTW, do you actually know personally anyone who owns a Harley? Didn’t think so . . .
