HEY! That’s an unfair comparison. The Democrats FORMERLY were represented as Red states. The MSM decided in unison to change the color of Democrat victories to Blue and SUDDENLY decided in unison to call states “Red” or “Blue” for “Democrat” or “Republican”.
It’s not like Dean’s Democrats REALLY are “Reds”. No. Nothing like it at ALL. < /s >
That’s the very reason they stuck with the Red/Blue scheme of 2000. It got a little uncomfortable associating Democrats with Communist red.
It used to be that the INCUMBENT party was always represented by blue, and the challenger by red.
I thought it was the tradition that the color referred to whether a candidate was incumbent party or not? Thereby, it would change back and forth.
