WASHINGTON (7-15-08) - Mathematical proof that there is no “climate crisis” appears today in a major, peer-reviewed paper in Physics and Society, a learned journal of the 10,000-strong American Physical Society, SPPI reports. Christopher Monckton, who once advised Margaret Thatcher, demonstrates via 30 equations that computer models used by the UN’s climate panel (IPCC) were pre-programmed with overstated values for the three variables whose product is “climate sensitivity” (temperature increase in response to greenhouse-gas increase), resulting in a 500-2000% overstatement of CO2’s effect on temperature in the IPCC’s latest climate assessment report, published i n 2007.

The debate is over, though nobody is sure who won.
Tell them the truth?...They can’t stand the truth. It is easier to believe a popular lie than a hard truth, especially when the lie has been repeated for the past decade by the IPCC.
AGW has long since moved past a discussion of science, and has morphed into a socialist/marxist/religous amalgam of a cult. The ‘Branch Algorians’ are bent on imposing their global wealth distribution scheme upon the USA. Dissent has to be silenced at any cost, personal liberty trampled upon, carbon taxes imposed, and economic freedon revoked.
Thank goodness that’s over. I certainly hope our next “crisis” that demands sacrifice and tax dollars is at least somewhat interesting. Say. . an incoming invasion fleet of little green men from Mars that want to eat little kids.
NO peer review and yet the DUMBAZZ editors of Physics and Society disagree with its conclusions??? Well why don’t they do the peer reviews before being so disagreeable!

APS Position Remains Unchanged
The American Physical Society reaffirms the following position on climate change, adopted by its governing body, the APS Council, on November 18, 2007:
“Emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities are changing the atmosphere in ways that affect the Earth’s climate.”
An article at odds with this statement recently appeared in an online newsletter of the APS Forum on Physics and Society, one of 39 units of APS. The header of this newsletter carries the statement that “Opinions expressed are those of the authors alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of the APS or of the Forum.” This newsletter is not a journal of the APS and it is not peer reviewed.
The myth of scientific consensus has been shattered with the APS publication of this paper and the editor’s note that many scientists disagree with the IPCC.
