Wow! Can't "diss" Barack and Michelle Obama? That's not how politics works, whether you like it or not!

Several posters clearly stated this fact earlier this week:
“Why did progressives recoil? Because the more savvy among them sense that, like much humor, this cartoon was an exaggeration that contained no small kernel of recognizable truth.”
The sniveling liberals, the muslims, and their allies fear the ugly head of truth.

Pat Buchanan was a lousy candidate and pretty much a jackass but he hits the nail on the head here.

...and that is how Barack Obama has skated by from the time he was a sophomore in high school...
Americans should stand up and say that if we really are a post racial nation, it is our post racial responsibility to take the gloves off and treat Mr. Obama with the same rough and tumble that Bush, Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Dole, Bush, Reagan, Mondale, Carter, Ford, Nixon, and McGovern got.

I can’t believe Pat Buchanan didn’t write a ridiculously stupid article!

the sensitivity -- the naked fear -- of an elite magazine that it might be perceived as lending aid and comfort to any who would dare question the nobility and patriotic ardor of the Obamas...As for the New Yorker, it emerges from the episode as not just unheroic, but just another magazine desperate not to offend its readership or the people whose approbation it seeks as the measure of its moral worth. Pat nails it here.
The editors of the New Yorker practically groveled for understanding and forgiveness for their unintentional faux pas.
An absolutely pathetic performance that not even the "satirical geniuses" at their own magazine could parody.

CAN’T??????
Watch me-——
Michelle Obama said that the $600 stimulus check “wouldn’t even buy a pair of earrings”.
She is so totally out of touch with Americans, she is a complete joke.
She is anti-white, and every chance she gets, she displays that attitude, IMO.
I wouldn’t vote for either of them if they were the ONLY candidates running for any office, anywhere.
I challenge every woman who has never spent $600 on a pair of earrings to vote for McCain.

Pat gets it right for a change. This is going to PO his new leftist buddies who have gotten used to Pat trashing the right.
I’ve been waiting for somebody to dare to label Obama the “affirmative action candidate” for a long time. Totally unqualified, and if you criticize him, you’re a racist.

Excellent article. This “Pat Buchanan” guy, why haven’t I heard more about him?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Mr. Buchanan is a superlative writer, a brilliant analyst, and very often correct.
Sometime he just hits them outta the park. Like this one.

I pretty much lost interest in Pat Buchanan's opinions some time ago when it became apparent that he had harbored a deep-seated animus toward Israel, which I consider idiotic. I was also turned off by his constant harangues against so-called
'neo-cons', which are mostly an invention of folks like Pat Buchanan. Formerly prominent writers and commentators who are pissed at anyone who doesn't walk in lockstep with their views yet dares to take the name 'conservative'. Pat Buchanan
was 'Mr. Conservative' at one time (at least in the popular media) and I think he resents losing that status. Too bad.
Be that as it may, he does analyze the New Yorker cover cartoon flap accurately. Of course the weasels at the magazine squirmed and groveled when attacked by the left. Who is surprised? That the cartoon cover was far too realistic is obvious and that the attempt to satirize the conservatives supposed view of the Obama's backfired, big-time, is equally clear. Pat Buchanan got it right, this time. Kudos.

Someone commented on the live thread last night that Obama reminded her of "one of The Nation of Islam guys." I agreed.
Just add glasses and get him a bow tie.
