Guess who's been involved intimately with Fannie Mae (Anyone remember Jamie Gorelick?)

From the Maha -

Guess who's been involved intimately with Fannie Mae? Does the name Jamie Gorelick ring a bell? This woman is everywhere, and Jamie Gorelick got a 26 million payout when she left the place. Jamie Gorelick got 26 million to leave, one of Clinton's guys, Franklin Raines, Franklin Raines, he was kicked out after corrupting the place. He left shortly before he was taking it in the shorts, but he got out of there with no penalty whatsoever. What is it with these Clinton people? This is why we don't get any tell-all books on the Clinton administration because they were all set up in these sweetheart deals -- money, money, money, money -- I still can't get over this. Congress is not helping poor old Doug Gylfe, so now we have millions of Americans who are priced out of home ownership, which is how this all started. "Any rescue policy to stem forecloses could artificially prop up home prices and perpetuate the affordability crisis," yet I'll guaran-damn-tee you if government did nothing and home prices continue to fall then tomorrow the AP would write a story whining and moaning about the lack of asset value for people who still do own their houses. We just can't win with these people.

And not one peep from the anti-BIG CORPORATION, anti-BIG CEO media.

It’s a far bigger scandal than Enron, in terms of the amounts of money involved, potential harms to our economy, and the extent of political corruption.

Fannie and Freddie are predominantly DEMAGOGUE cesspools of corruption, though both parties certainly bear plenty of responsibility for this bi-partisan disaster.

Why aren’t the MSM types giving Gorelick and Raines and all the Clintonistas involved complete rectal exams? Do we even have to ask such a question of our biased socialist media?

How much negative publicity did the media give Terry McAuliffe for his windfall ($18 million payoff or whatever). And how many times during the primaries was Hillary questioned about her $100,000 cattle futures bribe?

Gorelick also was involved as an attorney in the S & L thing, too.

Because Gorelick is going to be nominated as Obambi’s Attorney General or Secretary of Something (maybe Defense, where she served as General Counsel during the early Flubba years, before going to DOJ to write the “wall” policy).

Or maybe she will be nominated to the Supreme Court. Lord knows she and her hubby have given enough dough to the Rat party over the years that she’s owed sumthin.

Yea, because of the "wall" policy she's owed something, an orange jumpsuit and about 50 years in prison if she cooperates (much worse if she doesn't cooperate).

Figure I'd toss in the latest Wiki entry before they whitewash it...

Federal National Mortgage Association Gorelick was appointed Vice Chairman of FNMA from 1997 to 2003. She served alongside former Clinton Administration official Franklin Raines, and earned over 26 million during her six years there. During that period, FNMA developed a $10 billion accounting scandal. [11] One example of falsified financial transactions that helped the company meet earnings targets for 1998, a "manipulation" that triggered multimillion-dollar bonuses for top executives. [12] Gorelick received $779,625. On March 25, 2002, Business Week interviewed Gorelick about the health of "Fanny Mae". [13] Gorelick is quoted as saying, "We believe we are managed safely. We are very pleased that Moody's gave us an A-minus in the area of bank financial strength -- without a reference to the government in any way. Fannie Mae is among the handful of top-quality institutions." [14] One year later, Government Regulators "accused Fannie Mae of improper accounting to the tune of $9 billion in unrecorded losses". [15]

Seeing everything this woman was involved in and the results, I’m reminded of a favorite saying of an old mechanic/farmer buddy of mine for people like this, “Like a stink bug in the garden, f****up every thing it touches. :-)

Jamie Gorelick. Isn’t she the lady who is famous for having written a memo which advocated putting up a wall between sound financial management principles and Fannie Mae’s Democrat-endorsed practice of lending money to sub-prime people who don’t intend to pay the money back?

So, where is Jamie Gorelick working today, so I know where to look for the disaster tomorrow?

She and Franklin Raines conspired to falsify the books sothat they could get huge payouts.

Between that and her time at the Clinton Justice Department she ought to be in jail.
