The Alaska decision follows one by President George W. Bush on Monday to lift a presidential ban on drilling on the US outer continental shelf, off Florida. That decision still requires Congress to lift a separate ban on the area before the area can be leased for development.

Congress gives crying public a pacifier ......film at 11 is my first thought yet I pray more oil drilling is a solution . Your past comments and experience comes too mind here making me think this is just a sugar tit for those of us having a fit !
If congress limited energy exports to 10% or less from the CONUS or it’s territorial waters would that be a quicker fix ?

the democrats say that drilling will not result in immediate reductions in gasoline.
but, ... uh duh ... research for alternative energy will not either. in fact, they’ll take longer.

Is that 3.9 Million, or 3.9 milli acres? Little “M” usually means milli, as in 1/1000.

Now the Pubs need to take credit for the drop in crude prices....but they’re so dumb they will probably let the Dems take credit.
