The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office got information from three more victims against Charles L. Bergeron Sr. Bergeron is currently incarcerated on other sex charges.
According to CPSO, a 20-year-old man said Bergeron performed oral sex on him at different times when the victim was 16-years-old. The victim also said this happened at Bergeron's house. These latest arrests, added to earlier arrests dating back to 1975, add up to 16 arrests for sex crimes against children.

“Why waste a perfectly good cartridge?”
Well I was going to say torch him, but the gas prices are so prohibitive that might not fly, not to even mention the carbon footprint. How about cut him and drop him to the bull sharks?
No, there is no answer or excuse for this other than the judges , lawyers and others being paid by the court machine are making a good living off this disaster.
What ya do is find the judges, those in charge of probation and JAIL THEM as they have perverted the law in this country. Not only jail them, but lets change the laws to make them directly liable for any damages caused by their reckless decisions.
Nothing else will work.
Whadya mean?
He looks about the same color as Obama - and he's black!
Why give gators lead exposure from their food. Throw him into the swamp alive and sober.
“Bergeron’s total bond on all charges set by Judge Michael Canaday total $9.5 million.”
$9.5 million? That sucks! There should be no bond set whatsoever!
Separated at birth?
Sixteen times? That seems like such an inept system. Sounds like the people there might even reelect their government officials after they failed them in a natural disaster.
Put a freakin bullet in the monster and feed the wildlife.
Why waste a perfectly good cartridge?
And why poison the wildlife?
Works for women and hollywood stars! /no sarc
I would guess that Barney would love to be ridden hard. ;~))
Ewwww... that was not an image I needed in my head... ;-)
Take him offshore and drill him.
The law isn’t working in that town. This case cries out for good old fashioned vigilantism.
Once again, another homosexual lifestylist exhibits a sexual preference for young boys. Perhaps they will be allowed to adopt more young boys in the future to show them their brand of love and lifestyle.
since 1975 and he was caught 16 times, no telling how many he did not get busted for.
The existing laws tend to be pretty darned tough. These people are usually facing a lot of potential prison time when they get arrested. Then so often these cases are pled down to lesser charges and people are given probation. That happens all the time, usually will full cooperation from the victims’ families. Usually the perpetrator is someone well known to the family, if he's not actually a family member. Often they don't want to go to court. A sixteen year old boy for instance isn't usually going to be too hip on getting up on the stand and talking about creepy sex he had with people like the fellow in the picture you see on this thread. Often the perpetrator is a family member and other family members just want him to get help, not prison. A lot of people think maybe having to register for life as a sex offender is punishment enough, and it would truly make your life awful to have to be a registered sex offender. Whatever the reason though, in most every case the judges really don't have anything to do with coming up with the sentences. The sentences will be what is agreed on by the prosecutor and the defense attorney, usually with approval from the victim or the victim's family. If you want to get on someones case about sentences sex offenders are receiving, start with prosecutors first who could easily dig in their heels and refuse to plead these cases down or agree to probation.
The sad thing is that they are talking about bond, prison time, charges, etc.
The real debate should be electric chair, gas, bullet, rope, etc.
All sex offenders should be required to live within 500 feet of an elected politician, judge, parole commissioner, or ACLU member. Then lets see how many get released.
Don't forget the prosecutors. You can bet that all of his other cases were plea bargained and any sentences meted out before were recommended by the prosecutors. In most every state court judges just go along with darned near anything the prosecutor and defense attorney agree on because the judges won't know anything about most cases resolved by plea. They won't hear the evidence. They'll sit there and do plea after plea all morning long not knowing thing one about these cases other than what these people are charged with. Almost every case is resolved by plea. Only a tiny fraction of them ever make it to trial. That's just the way our system works. I've personally handled fifteen or twenty felony pleas in a day on many occasions as a public defender, and judges will often do more than that in a day.
