Well you know I am there, Tony was a good friend on and off air.
Snowflake *ping*
His family is as gracious in their mourning as Tony was in his life.
Tony always enjoyed when you called the show, and so did we!
I read earlier that the Westboro Phelps were gonna show up.
any updates?
What scares me about a public service is the possibility that far left wackos might show up to try and disrupt it.
The media won’t cover the Westboro Baptist
Church freaks, so I hope someone from Free
Republic will have a video camera fixed on
them to capture their reviling trailer trash
antics. Good Youtube fodder.
God bless Tony Snow and his family.
I called the Alexandria PD...the Wash DC PD...and talked to a great guy at the Secret Service.
They are all aware of the problem and were VERY nice and supportive.
Since the President will be there, you can be assured the security will be tight.
ya might wanna check the patriot guard website. I think they’re a little involved.
Oh, I agree with you. Just vision Code Pink causing a problem. They do tend to slip inside everywhere. I am concerned.
ping...I got a hold of a lot of people today.
The leftists from Code Pink, Moveon etc. believe that such protests are clearly indicative of some national mood when in reality even those that agree with some of the sentiments professed in these disruptions know that for every citizen that applauds such tactics nine more believe it is anything but effective.
So I say bring it on! Such a disruption would once again be a bold illustration of the nastiness/childishness inherent in the tactics of the "peaceful" left. All bun, no meat.
Holy crap, there is nothing I can say, it’s Tony. I’m so freakin sad!! Thank you Kristinn for posting this. I just hope his family knows how much we love him.
mrs
kristinn, is FReeRepublic as an organization doing anything, like flowered wreath or donation to Wounded Warriors or Dana Farber? If so, is there a separate place to donate to that?
This may have been asked and answered previously but I did not see. Thanks.
Thanks Darlin’.
Hopefully the regulators will be there.
What’s their name... Rolling Thunder?
Westboro Cult needs to be exposed. They
do not represent my Jesus. How dare they
use the name of Christ to advance their
evil.
see #10. the authorities have been notified. if you need contact names, FReepmail me and I’ll tell you who I talked to.
Easy to say when it's not a funeral service for one of your own loved ones.
I am firmly convinced that the majority of the public pays zero attention to such incidents. Of the minority who do, most just shrug. Of those who don't shrug, most already have their political leanings set in stone. So the only practical effect of such incidents is that they disrupt the grieving people closest to the deceased.
Thanks, Jo....
I think that because the President will be there...it will be treated like a head of state funeral, with all security employed.
