If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime - Pol Pot or others - that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case.
Sen. Dick Durbin on the Senate Floor
Do you want to send a message to Dick that our troops aren't Nazis?
Steve Sauerberg , 55, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate

Durbin is a jackass.
Remember, Durbin is VERY close to Obama, so if he feels this way....
Hey Turbin!....go pound sand!
2006 $500 National Republican Congressional Cmte (R)

Hey Turbin!....go pound sand!
-————————Hey Turbin: Go find a camel and do something unnatural.
Card carrying communist and from what I hear is a supporter of the Workers Party. Kuccinich (sp?) is also.
Durbin is a suck-up with no regards for our country
and our troops....every one in the Military, should
get a weekly update of these type of asinine remarks,
either party, but you can bet your sweet//// the Dems
are our greatest enemy....follow their words and actions..
that’s all. JK
Done
I’m donating to any candidate running against the Marxists.
`DREAM’ act Durbin. He’s a real looser.
Obambi’s VP?
Say what you want about Durbin, and I’ll back you, what does it say about our government that this ass can get away with this and not be tossed out of the Senate by his own party?
And you’ll hear hardly a peep out of the Republican side of the isle either.
When members of our own government make statements like this, is is cannon fodder for our enemies. They just replay what he has said, and since it comes from a member of our own government, those who hate us buy into it lock stock and barrel. And even some of our friends must think poorly of us, due this this man’s treachery.
As a nation, we are in serious trouble if a man like this can obtain and hold office.
Go Sauerberg. That Durbin can get one vote other than his own is a disgrace to our nation.
I can not believe that most of his constituents are supportive of his ultra liberal anti-patriot stance but the problem is that he is an incumbent and the only way to unseat him is for lots of money to be spent stirring things up and waking people up. The same thing exists in WV with Byrd and Rockefeller. Do the people of West Virginia really align with those two far left moonbats? Hell no but does the West Virginia press hammer either of them? Some of the blame especially in places like West Virginia goes to Republicans lacking organization and vision. You can’t just send out mailspam and run commercials in places like that you need to get out there and shake hands and educate people.
Republicans still haven’t figured this out with the Black community. It isn’t about handouts it is about comfort zone. Spend some time in black churches and call the Democrats to the floor on issues that people care about. People care about their soldiers, people care about their children, people want to keep more of their money, they want to be proud of America, and want the freedom to succeed. Where are the leaders who know how to talk to the people and inspire them? If an empty suit like Obama can do it certainly their are Republicans can also do it. Reagan did it and the way he did it wasn’t so complex. He spoke with the confidence that America is good and should be strong and that the American people can be trusted without the guiding hand of Government strangling them and molding their lives to the end of bureaucracy. Sometimes I don’t know what the National GOP committees are doing beyond having high priced fund raising dinners and talking to themselves.
Being engaged means touching the calloused hands of the working man and woman. Looking into the eyes of those who aren’t afraid of working hard and who believe in America and acknowledging them and respecting their hard work by lifting the hands of government off them. Republican guiding principles should be focused on freeing the rivers of economic freedom and fighting against those who would imprison the spirit upon which this country was founded in the chains of bureaucracy.
Every family has core issues. Conservatism is solid on those core issues. It's the Democrats who screw families. It's the Democrats who try to keep people down. If you're down, you need someone to run interference for you, and that's the Democrat's bread and butter plank. We support you.
Well, of course they don't, but folks don't get that.
How much better off are those poor Black families that the Great Society programs were designed to help? After trillions spent, are their families more cohesive? Are their homes better? Is their children's education better? Are their neighborhoods better? Are there fewer crack whores? Are there fewer gangs? Are there more solid fathers in the homes? Is there more hope?
What we need are call-porters. We need door to door salesmen, doing the good Lord's (figuratively) work.
We need dutch uncles, and all we have are pander bears.
Reagan was that dutch uncle. Obama and McCain are wusses.
Conservatives have been saying for monthes that Sauerberg is keeping his mouth shut because he simply intends to govern as Durbin-lite, and I pretty much proved it on this thread . Sauerberg kind of reminds me of those dopey RINO women (Jeanine Pirro and then K.T. McFarland) the NY GOP kept claiming would "beat Hillary" in 2004.
Sadly, Durbin is pretty much guranteed a third term as long as Sauerberg keeps doing what he's doing.
For anyone who plans to cast a ballot in the Illinois for the U.S. Senate, I suggest you consider Chad Koppie of the Consitution Party. Everyone remember George Ryan? Chad was George Ryan's primary opponent in the 1998 Republican govenror's race. He warned that Ryan was a RINO who would be a disaster if elected, but nobody listened. He was right then, and he's probably right about Sauerberg now.
Thanks for the info BillyBoy. I guess I should investigate first and donate last.
Good thing I only printed the form and have not donated yet. I never donate on line.
Thank you for doing my homework for me.:)
That happens everywhere on every election or primary. When you hear this, all kinds of red flags and alarms should be going off. It's the sound of a candidate getting screwed by deliberate misinformation and media censorship. This is how we got McQueeg by eliminating the conservative candidates.
Thanks for the comments.
I’ve pretty much developed a rule of thumb these days. If the Republican elite (state or national level) are happy with a candidate, they’re not worth voting for.
I believe it’s going to take a grass roots campaign that does an end run on the party, to wrestle the Republican party back from the Washington elites.
If McCain loses, I would like to join an effort that has roots in every district in the nation, to put boots on the ground to interface with the public, educate them as to what a Conservative truly believes, gain their help to get them elected.
If McCain is elected, we’ll be fought tooth and nail every step of the way, when we try to do this. I will not join an effort to do this until we do not have a lefist Republican leading up the Conservative movement.
