Good characterization. Satire? I think not for most of us.
Oh my goodness. I find this truly shocking. No sarcasm tag.
Is this a parallel universe or a try to infuriate the Lefty New Yorker readers?
Jesse Jackson was just tryin’ to help when he mentioned cutting off Hussein’s nuts.
It looks like the New Yorker is obediently assisting Obama enhance his victimhood status.
I would never subscribe to the New Yorker, but I used to go through it to look at the cartoons. But even those have gotten pretty bad. You’re lucky to find one or two good ones in an issue, now.
Tina Brown started the New Yorker down the tubes, but after they finally got rid of her it only continued to get worse.
Too bad.
Rather delicious, actually.
Way too close to the truth to be effective satire.
Just remember: Hillary hasn’t released her delegates, and the Dems’ convention isn’t until next month...
From the KOS kids:
“OMFG! I’m sure it’s some kind of joke right? There’s no other ulterior motive to publish cartoons like this right? They got the new McCain Manchurian Candidate cover lined up for next week right?
This is disgusting. Might be worth cancelling a subscription or two.”
I like Obama’s sandals.
hey, that could just as easily be a mini 14
More truth than satire.
do you get the idea that some liberals are quietly sabotaging al obama’s campaign?
That’s one of their latest mantras, “The Politics of Fear.” Over and over and over again. Quite frankly, I think we should fear ALL politicians until we can find a reason not to. But when a politician appears to want to destroy our entire way of life, it is our duty to make people afraid.
The question is, will the article be substantive; i.e., try to prove that each and every negative comment about the Obamas is a lie?
Or will it be the typical collection of contumelious comments aimed at those who are trying to gather information, pro and con? That is, us "clingers" I think is what we are called -- Hey! racist and bigot are soooooooo 20th century, about time they started calling us something new.
This cover is a perfect example of just how insular Manhattan elites can be. They are so “sophisticated” that they know that this cover is just a parody of the way people in the flyover states see the Obamas.
Oh how we laugh at the rubes, their guns, their God, and their bitterness. How silly and stupid of them to believe in things like patriotism.
So they capture it all for a good laugh while dining on wasabi-encrusted medallions of organically raised llama on a bed of heirloom frisee, and sipping an single-vineyard Oregon pinot noir.
Just keep laughing liberals, just keep laughing.
Maybe it’s supposed to enhance their victim reputations - i.e., poor things; everyone’s picking on them just because they’re not typical white persons bitterly and embarassingly clinging to the English language. I can’t think of any other reason for the lib biased New Yorker to do this.
