Green Eggs and Jackson

Jesse, Jesse, Jesse…

I’d like to feel sorry for the guy but, you know? This ain’t his first go-round with the media and I’m sure it ain’t gonna be the last.

Was what he said really that bad? Who knows? Back to Jesse…

I remember back in the 70’s Jesse Jackson did a spot on Saturday Night Live where he sat behind a news-desk and recited Dr. Seuss’s “Green Eggs and Ham” (Click here to see video) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=EKOHrYhH3EE). It left a huge impression on me at such a young age. Not because it was eloquent or powerful, but because I realized for the first time what a bag of hot gas that guy was. For all his ranting and raving about anything that would bring attention to his name, he walked through that book with all the fire and passion he used when fighting for civil rights.

Never trust a dude who refers to himself as a reverend but doesn’t lead a church and never talks about God.

But don’t be too hard on him. Looks like he is for real change even more than Obama is. I mean, he obviously wants Obama to be the first African-American president and the first woman president.

Obama was such a noble man accepting the apology so graciously also. It’s not every day you get to tell somebody that threatens to emasculate you, “It’s alright, buddy. I understand!”

And how’d you like the way Jackson’s son threw dear ol’ dad under the bus? I wonder if Jesse met Obama’s grandmother under there (I believe it was the same bus Barack threw Grandma under). I’ve always heard that politics make strange bedfellows, but seems politicians today are just plain strange.

I can’t wait for the rest of this thing to unfold. Might as well laugh about it while we watch ‘em destroy the country.

Oh, well. Easy come, easy go.

GG - good satire! yes, it’s all too pat, isn’t it? after ALL JJ’s many years on camera, do we really think he “assumed” the mic wasn’t on during a brief break??

all accounts say that this “incident” greatly boosted BHO’s campaign.
