Special Prayer Ping!
Please keep Tony and his family in your prayers.
Godspeed Tony!
I first learned of it from Bahbah’s Post and then found that Saveliberty had also e-mailed me. That said, I don't seem to have grasped the reality as every time Fox announces Tony's death, I am momentarily shocked with disbelief. Then the sad reality sets it. It is so.
Hopefully, when we return from WVA I'll be able to comment at length. For now I draw strength from the comments of so many of Tony's fans. He was so proud of being a FReeper and so enjoyed FReeping, that I know he would be pleased at the outpouring of love, if not the sadness. And there is much sadness.
Eternal rest grant unto your servant, Tony, Lord. May the Perpetual Light shine upon him. May he rest in Peace with the Angels and the Saints, and with his beautiful mother. Amen.
Love Story [Mark R. Levin]
Anybody who met Tony loved the guy. He was thoroughly decent, kind, honorable, and full of life. Whenever I would run into him, he was always smiling and upbeat. He so loved his family and country. This is a great loss of an outstanding human being. I wish his family peace and my heart goes out to them.

What an outstanding American patriot.
Rest in Peace Tony. Prayers to his family.
I saw him live with Lars Larson a couple years ago at Talkfest in Portland Oregon.
Managed to meet him, shake his hand and thank him for all that he has done for this great country.
Got an autographed picture also.
I just moved his picture to a more prominent place in my house.
Huge loss and a huge lump in my throat this morning.
Not just one of the good guys in DC, but the best. Rest in Peace, Tony.
As I woke this morning, I heard this tragic news over the radio. It was like a sock to the solar plexus. It hurt and took my breath away for a bit.
Tony was one of the good guys. He was a great man, devoted to his family by all accounts, and he was too young to go. He was not one of those journalists who was slightly afraid to be conservative, like so many of them. And while we had our disagreements about some of the President’s issues, he was a dam* good press secretary. Funny as anything when he took on the arrogant reporters.
G-d bless his family and comfort them as He comforts all mourners.
Very sad.
In a way, Tony was blessed. Unlike those who die suddenly, he had time to ponder what was going to happen, set his life in order, and prepare his loved ones.
He faced this trial with grace, courage, and unshakeable faith. He was a good, decent man who is an example to us all.
Goodbye, Tony.
This is very sad news. My sincere condolences to the family.
I could not agree with you more.
Just saw this.
Prayers to his family.
The good DO die young.
RIP Tony. You did good.
Tony Snow was the only hope the Bush administration had for getting it’s story out there and out there correctly. All the other press secretaries paled in comparison. Tony was the absolute best and one of the few saving graces we had while he was in the White House.
His radio show was one of my favorites. I loved watching him on Fox. I will truly miss him. Prayers to his family, he went way too young.
Thanks so much.
I’m sure you will miss him we all will.
how heartbreaking. RIP dear man. You are already missed.
I think Tony would be pleased to see all the love and warmth on this thread. As we mourn and celebrate his life, we all feel honored to have been his FRiend that we never met. He will be truly missed, but what a legacy he has left. May God be with him on his new journey and with his family at this time. I can hear him saying “this is a good thing”! Always the optimist. Tony, rest in God’s loving arms now.
