Look, it’s a free country. Google is not the government. Google can do what it damn pleases. Your comparison to the Soviet Union is absurd. One more time: Google is not the government.

You're right, however there are certainly some concerning implications. From the perspective of media and control, Google certainly carries a powerful influence. They are controlling the content of the debate on this issue and the availability of access to facts to support that debate one way or another. We can see what direction they want it to take if the implications of this thread are correct.

Now excuse me whilst I run about in circles screaming histerically...
