Hot-on-the-heels of news that Darren Aronofsky may be directing MGM's Robocop reboot, the studio has announced plans to remake another '80s feature in the shape of Red Dawn.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Red Eye scribe Carl Ellsworth will pen the script, which will update the story to modern day.
"The tone is going to be very intense, very much keeping in mind the post-9/11 world that we're in," explains Ellsworth.
"As Red Dawn scared the heck out of people in 1984, we feel that the world is kind of already filled with a lot of paranoia and unease, so why not scare the hell out of people again?"

Hollywood will make the bad guys out to be the Americans fighting back. The reason will be because the invaders will retaliate against innocent civilians because of the Wolverine attacks. It’s all the Wolverine’s fault you see.

Color me impressed! Even I could not see the psychotic depths to which the leftists in Hollywood might sink! Yes! It will be a group of “Anarchist” skate-punk kids (of mixed ethnicity, of course) who take on an invasion of “Red State” neo-con/neo-Nazis! (Slapping my forehead) Why didn’t I think of that! Genius!

I am very impressed at the large number of interlocking global conspiracies which all have to be true for these disasters to occur in the US and internationally. I would feel more secure to bet the total value of my home on the winners of all 14 races in a day of racing at Pimlico, one horse per race, than take this statement seriously.
Is that a sufficient comment?

RED DAWN: A Film by Michael MooreLoL, Just before I read your post I was thinking about the movie they were showing in the drive-in theater that was turned into a re-education camp. In the re-make the movie shown in the Re-Education Camp would get an Oscar for best picture, Algore will get an Oscar for writing and staring in it, Sean Penn for best supporting actor.....

Much appreciate your inside knowledgeable perspective.
Thanks for the bother of your kind comment.

Didnt a Japanese General/Admiral say invading the US during WWII was impractical because they would find an armed citizen behind every door? You cannot invade the mainland United States.

This thread has taken an odd turn since I last checked in.LMAO!
One minute, I'm reading about Red Dawn. The next, I'm feeling guilty that I haven't been "doing my homework" since 1965 :)

Mostly we were scared by the bad acting.LOL
Hey now--I hope you're not talking about the dynamic performance of Mr. Harry Dean Stanton!
Look at these wide range of emotions ...
Anger
Sadness
More Anger
Personal satisfaction that he's read every conspiracy book published since 1965.

That would be Jennifer Grey, who was a major up and coming Hollywood hottie, (Dirty dancing, Farris Buler's Day Off) till she got her nose fixed. Then no one cared about her.
Erin Gray was on Buck Rogers and Silver Spoons. One of the most stunningly beautiful women in the world IMHO.

I'll never catch up now :( This thread is like a Cliff's Notes of conspiracy theories. Make them up as you go. No one will know the difference. Throw in some stuff about Skull and Bones, The Bildeberger's*, and chemtrails and you'll be a pro.
*which I was shocked to learn is NOT the place in the mall where you can make your own cute teddy bear or Fuddrucker's!
