Rochester MN MoveOn.org & Democrat media event punked by GOP activists!
Paleocon Strikes ^ | 7/9/2008 | Paleocon

MoveOn.org tried to stage one of their pitiful made-for-the-evening-news events here in Rochester. Their goal? Blame Bush, McCain and the GOP for high gas prices. The Olmsted County GOP caught wind of it and within 48 hours staged one of the most fun coups ever.

MoveOn activist Lyle (didn't catch the last name) was befuddled by the strong GOP counter-protest for drilling domestic oil. On the KTTC six o'clock news broadcast he could do no more than stutter when asked if he knew that there was going to be a counterpoint to his protest. He did manage to claim that gas prices would drop by a dollar in a month if our military leaves Iraq. He provided no proof of his wild claim, of course. Here are a few pictures.

I got there early and took this picture. Little did the Move.On/DFL types anticipate what was to come.

I nominate this as "Freep of the Week." Bravo Zulu, Olmsted County GOPs!

"The Olmsted County DFL and MoveOn.org were outnumbered, overwhelmed and outclassed by our counter protest. Well done, girls and boys!"

Yes, well-done!

I noticed that the bimbette only interviewed the MoveOn side. Typical ‘jounrnalist’ who is “...trying to make a difference” instead of just reporting the news.

I noticed that too, but that guy promised gas would drop a dollar in 30 days if we left Iraq. thats a fantastic claim. I wonder if he also invented the question mark. But hey it was a promise from that guy and with all his knowledge of how oil production works, I will have to go with the promise of “that guy”.

It would be great to freep such More-On events with a car outfitted with a windmill propeller and a banner that says “Alternative-Fuel Powered.” It would be illustrative against the argument that alternative fuels would do anything to alter the way our current fleet of 200+ million cars and trucks now operate.

Not only are these Lefties pathetic, they don’t even know how to make protest signs. Really, paragraphs on a poster board for motorists driving by? The only effective one was the “Hands Off Iran” sign.
Bravo to the patriots who took the time to challenge this bunch of losers.

'Hands off Iran'. Nice. Let the camel humpers get nukes after they've threated to wipe 2 sovereign nations (one of which is US) off the face of the earth.

Yes, it's true, Mabel: liberalism really IS a mental disorder.

Great work - Rochester is a very stuffy city that needs a little excitement.

Looking at the larger view of the first picture, it looks like the price for regular gas is only $3.90. What a deal.

This is what always happens.
The MSM will block the shot of the much larger counter protest. I was at the Capitol in Sacramento in 2000 when there was a HUGE pro-Bush rally during the election fiasco. On the other side of the building were lesbians reading bad poetry in support of Al Gore. There were more news people at their event than participants. The pro-Bush rally was ignored.

Conservatives need to change their tactics. They should not keep their distance. Instead, they ought to swamp the leftists’ puny events when the media shows up.

Time to stock up on packets of KoolAid brand lemonade, to mail to the DUers, Kos-ites, and MoveOn’ers (who have steadfastly refused to take their own advice for years now).

In CNY we’re at about 4.29 now. MORE than the national average. Sigh.
