Barack Obama has published an enemies list and conspiracy web on his presidential campaign website, Fight the Smears.
The site lists conservative activists David Bossie, Floyd Brown, Bob Perry, Craig Shirley, Bruce Hawkins and James Lacy.
The Obama campaign posted an accompanying graphic that lays out a web of connections between the conservatives, groups they represent and their efforts opposing liberals, including "Swift Boat", "Clinton Impeachment" and "Willie Horton Ad".
The text never connects any of those listed to 'smears' against Obama, but instead lists their politcal sins such as working with the Minutemen, Ann Coulter, Gary Aldrich, donating to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and running the Willie Horton ad. The worst that the Obama campaign says is that Bruce Hawkins was recently disbarred in Washington state.
Usually, paranoid presidents wait until they assume office before they compile their enemies list for their myrmidons to act on. Nixon had his infamous enemies list, the Clinton's had their "The Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce."
Barack Obama has set a new standard for paranioa. And he hasn't even been formally nominated yet.

Yes, you are right. They are trying to run circles around us before we even get started. Or to change the metaphor, defining the landscape. Everything will be automatically defined as a rumor or a smear in the “minds” of the typical Obama voters. Demonizing is so easy with people who don’t care about the country, only about their superhuman candidate and some kind of victory over whitey.
So that any devastating attack, no matter how true, can be called a Swift Boat attack. The war of words.
Bossie did that film destroying Hillary. Obama should put him on the allies list.
Al Gore’s name had BETTER be added to that Stalinist purge list. Or else reflects a truly Orwellian account of the “players” in these “controversies”.

I couldn’t care less about “points”. I’m as disgusted as anyone with our choices for this upcoming presidential election. But the fact remains that either Obama or McCain is going to be our next president and the Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Services. The election is now only three months away. I won’t do anything that would help Obama win. And that means I won’t “not vote”, “write in”, or vote third party. That helps Obama, and THAT is a fact too. I’ll vote for McCain because it’s the only real choice for anyone who gives a damn about this country and our military men and women.
When you hear about Democrats that are so upset with Obama that they are threatening to not vote, write-in, or vote third party, doesn’t that make you happy? Well, the same is true when the shoe is on the Republican foot.
Bravo! Your post was extremely well put. Every last one of us who occupy the Right side of the political spectrum, from libertarian Right, to center Right, all the way to the far, far Right, have got to get what you said into our stubborn heads. There really is only once choice for anyone who gives a damn about this country; about our military; about the gains we've made in the war against radical Islam; in short, about everything conservatives and others to the Right side of the political spectrum claim to hold dear.

I appreciate that, Wolfstar. I firmly believe that it is time for us to rally around the one and only candidate that can defeat Obama. Those who still don’t understand the situation we are in this election probably never will. Some are just stubborn as a mule, and some just don’t seem to understand the seriousness of the situation.
Family members, including one of our sons, served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I’ll do what I can to be sure that their sacrifices were not in vain. Barack Obama will do exactly the opposite.
It's become something of a knee-jerk cliche these days for many to say "thank you for your service." Me...I HONOR the service of your son and all the members of our Armed Forces, especially those who went to war in this fight against radical Islam. It's because I honor their service that I cannot in good conscience do anything other than vote for McCain this November.
As for Obama, it's becoming more and more clear with each passing day, that he HATES the United States of America. He drips with SCORN for Americans. While obviously hating the U.S. and its people, he pretends to respect our military. Yet that is an obvious lie. He can't hate this great nation and simultaneously respect the people who volunteer to serve in its Armed Forces.
Has Jesse Jackson been added since he pledged to make Barry our first female President.
People like you who truly honor our military by your words AND actions are a blessing to them all, and their families too. Thank you for your sincere support! Our son has met people like you and I can’t even begin to describe how much words such as yours mean to him.
Obama has made it perfectly clear, in his own words, what he plans to do to the security of our nation and the tools our military needs to defend her. And the list goes on of how he will try to destroy this country within if he can’t do it through playing nice with those who wish to destroy us.
Let those who allow this to happen.......

The enemy of my friend is my enemy! And if I get in the smear first, I can quickly deny it and claim their rebuttals as evidence they are attacking me just like they attacked Kerry. Remember the truth has no relevance to these folks.
