Who read Free Republic? Apparently the U.S. Secret Service does!
This past weekend, I posted an article alerting the Secret Service that members of the terrorist supporting group Code Pink were using fake presses to gain access to events headlined by Secret Service protectees like presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (AZ).
This morning, McCain spoke at the LULAC convention in Washington, D.C. Usually when he speaks at an event in D.C., McCain can expect to have his speech disrupted by Code Pink activists who rush the stage and heckle him from the audience and the press section.
That didn't happen today. I followed press coverage of the speech and no disturbances were reported. Now I know why.
A Code Pink protester going by the name Jennifer Tequia posted about her experience today at the McCain speech. I'll let her tell her story:
This morning I attempted to watch McCain give a speech at the LULAC convention at the Hilton.
I had a press pass to get in but not 5 minutes later was removed by Secret Service agents. The LULAC representative told me that even if I was registered he would not let me in and would not give me any reason. I got the impression that he really wanted me to be able to stay but that the Secret Service told him to have me leave.
I exited the property with no fuss and was followed out by 2-4 Secret Service agents. I was not raising a ruckus or resisting at ALL. I simply walked myself off.
A block and a half later on public sidewalk one of the agents walked up to me unannounced and totally spooked me by being so close to me and put a camera in my face and without permission took my photo.
I then later went back to the area of the Hilton and (staying across the street on public sidewalk) spoke to the press and private people. I told them that I am a teacher and came all the way across the country at my own expense for a month to try to get our nation's financial and moral priorities back on track.
I spoke about not having money for books but trillions for war. Most I spoke to very moved by my story and shared my deep worry about a new war with Iran.
The Secret Service agent showed up again and followed me around a bit. I asked him for his badge number. He refused to give it to me.
I repeatedly asked him, "Sir, what is your badge number?" and he either said, "I am doing a job" or refused to answer.
I asked him his last name and he refused.
I have posted the photo of this man so you can see the image of a man who is in violation of his duties - he removed me without cause, followed me on public property on two seperate occassions and refused to identify himself (which makes me strongly suspect he was not doing what he was supposed to do and feared me reporting him).
McCain was whisked inside so I didn't even get to take his photo or see him at all.
That war criminal knows how to be seen when it works to his benefit and not seen when it doesn't, let me tell you.
Poor Jennifer, busted with a phoney press pass. I wonder if she teaches her students how to cheat on their exams.
Looks like Medea Benjamin will have to come up with a new scheme to infiltrate Secret Service protected events.
GOOD WORK, SECRET SERVICE!
This was probably answered later on but I just got on the thread. McCain is a war criminal for dropping bombs during the Vietnam War, and for backing the initial war in Iraq and later the Surge. According to CODE PINK, that is.
Thanks for the ping.
I really appreciate getting this good news.
Mind boggling that she’s trying to get the SS in trouble for shadowing her, while crying in her beer about being outed for her phony press pass. She’s lucky to get off so lightly.
She’s part of a potentially dangerous conspiracy...my question is, why isn’t this against the law?
It should be.
At least now there is another layer in the security of our president.
That is something I cannot let pass without noting...
Are you sure Jennifer did not look a lot like Jane Fonda...
I would love to see them bust that forgery ring that Medea sanctioned.
You, of all people, have become the most bloody handed supporter of war -- you do not mean to be, but because of your support for those who want war and terror against us, because you insist that we not stop them, you have blood on your hands.
The blood of your own students, actually. The blood of those we love and have lost because our enemy did kill them.
Damn you for that. Please stop. Have some real love for us and your own students.
Exceedingly well put, and worth repeating, imho.
The comments she is receiving are priceless.
Well done sir!
BREAKING: Bush heckled at Monticello by CodePink!

Fri Jul 04, 2008 at 01:49:01 PM PDTSorry for the short diary... Ever since I figured out how to duplicate Medea's press pass for other members of CodePink, I have been doing so with her blessing. Since Medea is the founding director and CEO of Global Exchange as well as one of the founders of CodePink, how I implemented it may be a bit of a hack; but it is quite legitimate insofar that yes, these are valid press passes for a news organization, created with the full knowledge and permission of the company director.
Fake but accurate reporters!!!
Daily KOS reportedly also has a thread controversy on how to fabricate Hawaiian birth records (not birth certificates, the green document that Obama's team "leaked" to KOS).
no, no FireFox. Have seen it mentioned often but I have no clue what FireFox is either!
Thank you anyway:)
Is this legal? Someone should alert the SS.
My point was she is a teacher! I have typos myself!
More than once in the days of the "clintonian genital pox" on our nation, we got a great deal of leniency from various individual SS agents who I think really enjoyed our relentless harassment of that tiny little thinking head that controlled the behavior of the much larger head seen on TV.
I'll never forget those CPD cops bursting out laughing and doubled over dropping their gear after I was able to deliver a complete version of the Cops Cheer via megaphone, so that ol' Billy Boy heard every word of our song. It was during the minutes of silence while the crowd was standing before a graduation ceremony as professors, dignataries and such were quietly walking to their seats up on the stage. At first the audience was silently stunned. Once they realized what I had said, the whole university crowd broke up in laughter. It truly was a thing of beauty, because not only was it was all true, it clearly hit its intended target when the regal mane of the POTUS quickly whipped rapidly back and forth in fury. His panic along with an ominous command to "go get that guy" only poured gasoline on the roaring crowd. What a great country we have Kristinn!
To all those lurkers and shirkers out there, get out and target O'mama, it takes no special skill because the truth is on our side once more.
O'mama should never be allowed to campaign anywhere without there being a non-violent orderly protest. Signs asking for a real Birth Certificate and Pictures of O'mama wearing his muslum robes need to be seen everywhere that this mutt goes people.
Just as you, me and thousands of other FReepers have made heroic stands in the past. Kristinn, this is perhaps our worst nightmare come true. FR needs to mobilize before this fast talker ceases control of the power of the US Presidency.
In my opinion, he will surrender to all that threatens this great country. Islam, socialism and open immigration. Our citizenship will become worthless. Our real enemies are all set to ascend to the throne. Just the prospect of a O'mama presidency has foreign capital fleeing to financial havens abroad. This media anointed messiah could very well be the very beast we have been repeatedly warned to expect. That prince to come will seduce many by his speech and kill many to conquer. He will surely come.
If you are using M$ Internet Explorer, please change immediately!!! You ever hear of Netscape? If you have, then you Mozilla FireFox is the same... It was the original free to the public internet channel... without having to buy a retail copy... hmmm....
I downloaded a copy of Netscape when the internet was first open to the public... At that time, everything available to the public was only across wire (phone connections), and was available only through BBS... ALL computer communication was done through a modem (when I first started, it was 300 baud.... think WarGames, where you had to put the hand cradle on the computer modem (2 piece.. 1 for transmitting, 1 for receiving..)..
ok, jump to 1994 (1995, or about)... Netscape was the kink to overcoming the BBSing of not only the local community... but of the world. It was the 'internet'. Consisting of anywhere in the world, without having the long distance charge! BBSing had the charge of any other call made by your phone... You had to call a certain computer directly. Netscape allowed the connection to the whole 'network' through the network already created... WITHOUT the charge of long distance...
Netscape was run aground by M$ Internet Explorer within a few years.. but did not die. Within that time, younger/newer code makers came along (within the same general idea/company) that had made Netscape. Today, they are called Mozilla. Anything from them is 99.9% guaranteed cleaner, faster, and safer than IE (Internet Explorer). Any Tech guru on FR can either back or deny my claims...
Here is the most recent site to Mozilla (and firefox): MoZilla
Here is the most recent FireFox: FireFoxand after you experience the more safe environment.. speed, and adaptability of Firefox, then you will have an idea of the comforts of the free web, as it was ment to be. :D
