This past Independence Day I decided enough is enough and wanted my voice also to be heard. I spent all weekend creating a website and on-line petition to allow myself and others to vent our frustrations to Congress on their idiotic energy policies. I also included many helpful gas saving tips and articles to support the cause.
Freepers, please help me get this petition off the ground. You can even leave a comment! This is a true grassroots attempt to have our voices heard!
bookmarked for later! Good work!
I signed it, but regdg disclaimer: Some of us DO own energy stocks and mutual funds. Does that mean we’re not allowed to sign? Does that mean we’re not suffering at the high costs of fuel? Hell no. Drill here. Drill Now!
Ah, that disclaimer was just for myself. Do you think it is needed at all? Perhaps on second thought why should it make a difference....
There is no about on the website. Need to know exactly who is doing this before any signing...
influencecongress.com
I didn’t think it was necessary, but considering the opponents of drilling, it may be best to have one of some sort up there.
Signed and forwarded!!
That’s a good idea. I’ll do up an about page and put my disclaimer on there.
Sound advice
Better anyway to add the names to Newts - pile up the numbers on one rather than split - Newt's WILL be seen in DC -

It takes over 12 years to educate each person so why bother if it takes that long to bring each person to the job market? We can't learn our way out of ignorance.
It was so sweet watching the "Who crapped in my Easter basket" look on the person's face when I said it.
I have improved the script to show all your great comments on the View Signatures page. I have also added more comments on the petition page. I will be working on an about page today. Not sure how detailed to make it though as I’m just a regular nobody who is trying to get a real grassroots movement going. Newt’s petition is great and I signed it as well as you all should. Signing both is not splitting a vote so to speak, to me it’s just shouting louder! Also your comments are very important and allow you a way to get your frustrations with Congress out there where everyone can see them!
