Hear about the 550 metric tons of yellowcake uranium found in Iraq? No? Why should you? It doesn't fit the media's neat story line that Saddam Hussein's Iraq posed no nuclear threat when we invaded in 2003.

What an inconvenient truth...for the left-wing drive-by media.

I heard the yellowcake was from the First Bush era.

by former Ambassador Joseph Wilson that "Bush lied" about Iraq seeking yellowcake from the African country of Niger. Yup, and when he was found out he switched the story to how his wife was "outted".
Skunk.

Big deal now, Bush lost the PR war, lost the Congress in 06 over this, lost his momentum. 550 tons of yellowcake, whoop-de-doo. It’s nice to know we were justified, but it’s a little late for this to mean anything.
It’s like getting insulted in front of a crowd, and thinking of the perfect response the next morning.

In recent weeks, the U.S. secretly has helped the Iraqi government ship it all to Canada, where it was bought by a Canadian company for further processing into nuclear fuel thus keeping it from potential use by terrorists or unsavory regimes in the region.
The MSM is one thing.. Why did WE (the USA) keep this secret since 2003? Were the "massive amounts" not massive enough? Or is this the same story that came out a few years ago and is being rehashed because it was just now secretly sent to Canada? Very confusing.

Yeah this is old news but most people don’t know this. Also the tons of chemical precursors (agricultural chemicals) stored in military bases in bunkers. The real story of Iraq will be told years from now the important thing is that Iraq is too far won now to be lost. We here at freerepublic and others throughout the conservative activist community should be proud because if not for us and the steadfastness of the President we would have seen our soldiers drug home to disgrace. The media is silent now. They should be ashamed because they have the deaths of innocent iraqis and our soldiers on their heads because of the way they gave comfort to the enemy and did everything to make the job of winning harder. Hopefully they will find their just rewards. Let us hope the torture chambers of hell are not as mundane as Abugrabe.

‘WE’, the USA, didn’t keep it secret. We have threads here on FR about the yellow cake and all the weapons found, moved, the tunnels connect from Iran to Iraq and beyond, bio labs with Russian scientists, and more. The MSM doesn’t cover it.

I also remember Tony Snow (right before he became press secretary) being extremely excited about a report (can't recall the name of it) that was suppose to expose the Clintons for the crooks that they are.. but that fizzled, too. Remember that?

Was that Hillary’s school thesis? The Barton investigation? Able Danger?

“The MSM doesn’t cover it.”
Well, we know that’s going to be the case. What’s unexplainable and unforgiveable is how poorly the Bush administration ‘covered it’ (among other issues they ‘covered’ so badly). I cannot imagine a worse 8 years of public relations work by a Predidential administration than this one. Actually, six years, beginning with Ari Fleisher’s exit.

What would you suggest he have done differently to make the press cover it?

Hear about the 550 metric tons of yellowcake uranium found in Iraq? Yeah, I love that 'little' stat -- 550 metric tons -- that's only, what? -- over 1.2 million pounds!!!
To: Calpernia
You jogged my memory! It was the Barrett Report.. Tony Snow told his radio audience that there was going to be this Bombshell dropped on the Clintons the next day.. then nothing.

Yeah, file the Barrett Report with the Peter Paul fund raiser story :(
