The exchange rate is definitely at present in my favour but with my father's health it is unfortunately impossible for me to take advantage and visit the US. I did visit back in the 90s (1997) and had a wonderful time especially in the White Mountains and traveling through New Hampshire, Vermont and New York State to Niagara.

I see you're a Dick Cheney fan. I had a pleasant surprise one Sunday afternoon at the Tyson's Corner Borders book store. I was looking through the computer books and decided to head upstairs to check the engineering books. As I headed to the escalator I passed a guy looking over the magazines. He looked just like Dick Cheney. As I looked up the escalator, I saw a guy in a black suit. Another was posted by the cash register. I looked back at the magazine rack. It was Dick Cheney, in person. The Secret Service black SUV's and limo were parked in front of the store. What a surprise. I would have loved to spend some time chatting with him, but I opted to leave him to what little leisure time he is afforded.
