Through its new Obama Progressive Escrow Fund, the group is asking donors to contribute $1 million in conditional pledges that would be doled out to the candidate as long as his stances jibed with the group's politics.

Interesting concept -- if you vote a certain way, we will give you $1M. I sort of thought buying votes was illegal in this country, but I suppose if you do it in a flashy way, then it's just politics.

I have received many, many emails from former Clinton supporters from my web site, thanking me for the info on Obama, indicating that they intend to vote McCain. Now, I do not seek, and am not in support of the vast majority of their positions...but I am glad they are voting for McCain rather than Obama and believe, despite McCain's faults on conservative issues, that defeating Obama is in the absolute best interests of our nation.
