Sen. John McCain should be the next president of the United States. He is wrong on many issues - global warming, campaign finance-reform and immigration (to name a few). But on the central challenges of our time, he has demonstrated the judgment and courage necessary to be the leader of the Free World. In comparison to his Democratic rival for the White House, Sen. Barack Obama, the Republican maverick is clearly the better man - and the better candidate.
.....
Mr. McCain is the very opposite of Mr. Obama. The Arizona Republican is a battle-hardened war hero, who spent five years being tortured in a Vietnamese prisoner of war camp. On the other hand, Mr. Obama is a vacuous, antiwar leftist. He champions appeasement abroad and milk-toast socialism at home. His call for a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq would snatch military defeat from the jaws of victory. On abortion, he is to the left of many in his own party. Mr. Obama even supports partial-birth abortion. If he cannot honor the sacrifices of our fallen soldiers or defend innocent, vulnerable human life, he is not worthy to lead this great nation.
A contest between Mr. McCain and Mr. Obama is no contest. American voters must reach the same conclusion.

There are TWO viable candidates: McCain or Obama.
It is very simple, that even a “DumbBlonde” ( although I don’t think you are dumb, just because you are kidding us with it) can understand: any moderate to conservative who isn’t actively voting for McCain, IS helping Obama become president. How can any conservative possibly prefer Obama?
Do you have any idea the damage that Obama with a Dem Congress will do to the nation, if indeed he becomes president? Starting with destroying US strenght, surrender to terrorists, destroy the economy with taxes and insane environmentalism, not to mention stuffing the courts with leftist activist judges for generations to come.
McCain cannot win if all he has going for him is that he is not Obama. The democRats will turn out and vote and the Republicans will stay home.
Just so you don’t put me in the same category as Man50D. ;)
Socialists candidates with either an R or D after their names are dangerous for the country.
You are completely correct. Reminder: Stalin said the American people will never accept Communism as such so we will give them doses of Socialism until one day they wake up and find they have Communism.
McCain is strong on Iraq, on the War on Terror, he wants to make us energy independent the sensible way, by proposing drilling and nuclear, the only real viable options, he said he will nominated judges like Roberts and Alito, he wants to make tax cuts permanent, he is for securing the border, he is firmly pro-life. What more do Republicans want?!
And the bottom line is still McCain or Obama — pick one.
#45 meant for Man50D. I’ll get the hang of this yet.
Hey thinkin are you new here. With dumbassed comments like the one directed to Man50 it sure seems like you are.
So what? When presented with bad choices are you obligated to make a bad decision? I have relatives that have fought and died for this country, to further my right to vote for a candidate that represents my core values and beliefs. Do you believe that the founding fathers had these reindeer games (you must vote for the lesser of two evils) in mind when they were willing to put everything on the line for the freedoms that we now enjoy?
Do you believe that John McCain as president will be good for America and will you be proud of your vote after you cast it for McCain? Simple question. Put your Obama booga-booga rag doll down for a moment, it does not affect me when you wave it in my face.
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!
Exactly! Your graphic sums it up.
It is unfortunate, that some refuse to learn about Obama, and don’t realize that he is indeed a clear and present danger to the country and all we stands for.

“Hey thinkin are you new here. With dumbassed comments like the one directed to Man50 it sure seems like you are.”
Which dumb comment ?
Yet another mug slut covers it's eyes and sticks it's fingers in it's ears and cries "you dare point out the Emperor's New Clothes, so you're for Obama!"
This place needs fumigating.
Thank you.

Everyone who stays home in protest, votes third party or write in is putting Barack Hussein Obama in the White House.
Every black church and organization, every Muslim mosque and organization in every town and city across this country will get their people to the polls to vote for Obama- even busing them in. You can take that to the bank.
We MUST stand behind McCain, spread the word and get out the vote. He is the only thing standing between Obama and the White House.
Dennis Prager: Why I Support John McCain
http://www.townhall.com/Columnists/DennisPrager/2008/07/01/why_i_support_john_mccain
“Last week, a conservative magazine reported that I would not vote for John McCain for president. The magazine based its claim on a column I had written in May 2007 about why I could not support John McCain for the Republican presidential nomination.
The magazine was wrong. Though I did not support Sen. McCain in the Republican primaries, the moment he became the presumptive Republican candidate I endorsed him wholeheartedly for president of the United States. Having not been a supporter from the outset, perhaps my endorsement of John McCain will carry more weight among conservatives who are still undecided about whether to vote for John McCain.
My bottom line is this: The gulf between John McCain and conservatives is miniscule compared to the gulf between John McCain and Barack Obama. This is true regarding virtually every issue of significance to America. The America that a President Barack Obama would shape, with the help of a Democratic Congress and a liberal Supreme Court, would be very dissimilar from the America shaped by a President John McCain. “
It’s getting sickening Jo.....It goes well beyond logical harassment. But the “Mug Slut” illustration does fit them well.
As far as voting? I pick “Neither” for my candidate. Because for one, I can and for two, they helped me make that decision.
