Of course he tries to doctor it all up with fancy phrase catches like "I've always maintained" etc, etc., but he is fooling no one on the right or the left. Why would he change the strongest position he has with the left at this stage in the game?

My guiding approach continues to be that we’ve got to make sure that our troops are safe and that Iraq is stable.”
He added, “I’m going to continue to gather information to find out whether those conditions still hold.”
What? We are now full circle and Obama, the man the far left hung their "hope" on to pull out the troops and retreat from Iraq in defeat, has the same position on Iraq that McCain has. The nutroots will go crazy on this one! DU is already in panic!
He and his handlers arrogantly think that this will not matter...that because of his engineered idol status by a media blitz campaign designed specifically for that purpose, that they have this thing wrapped up.
But they are wrong.
