The e-mail landed in Danielle Allen's queue one winter morning as she was studying in her office at the Institute for Advanced Study, the renowned haven for some of the nation's most brilliant minds. The missive began: "THIS DEFINITELY WARRANTS LOOKING INTO."

Were all influenced by a lot of things. Those of us who grew up here have certainly been heavily influenced by the steady march towards full blown socialism that the US has been on since the 1930s. That doesnt necessarily make us socialists, or more sympathetic to socialism than people who grew up in less socialist countries, and in some cases it has made us particularly hostile towards socialism.I hate to tell you this, but as far as I'm concerned, you just proved my point. Who is behind this steady march? Americans who have been influenced!
Childhood influences tend to have one of two outcomes: either you incorporate it, or you have a violent reaction against it. If you look around at America today, I'm sure you won't deny that over half of America has indeed incorporated a socialist outlook.
They won't call themselves socialists; they'll simply believe that the government should pay for your education, health care, and if possible, your housing, and should control the economy.
Those others, who have a violent reaction against socialism, are called conservatives.
But my point is: find someone who grew up here in America and does not either tacitly accept or consciously reject socialist premises.
Obama grew up with Muslim influences. He doesn't reject them. So I tell you what, I'll concede this: Obama is no more muslim than most liberals are socialists. How's that?

Sadly, it has now become a "smear" to merely point out what a left-wing candidate has said or done. That's my point. I believe the Swifties who were there and I contributed to their effort to unmask Kerry. He's been living an offensive lie since the Sixties.

Of course she wont mention any of it.
I reported the facts - something that seems to elude Obama's fanbois
and NOTHING has been disputed on my site

It also aggressively disregards the fundamental principle of free societies that one be able to debate one's accusers.I don't even know where she got that notion. Is she confusing it with being able to face your accusers in a court of law if you're accused of doing something illegal and are on trial for it? Obama hasn't been accused of a criminal act. A lot of people just think he's being secretive about his religious beliefs.

This "genius" is xenophbic, she believes that since the proof that Obama was raised a Muslim wasn't made in American based English language digital media that the charges are "smears" and "untruths". The claims, the proof, the first hand interviews with Obama's classmates at the religious school were all made in Indonesia, some of the articles are not readily available in digital form, and she partisan attack dog at Princeton was unable to comprehend that there are people outside the United States who might have valid information on Obama's childhood upbringing outside the United States.
Tracking Down Obama in Indonesia - Part 4
"After two years in a Muslim school, then two more in a Catholic school, Obama was sent by his mother back to her parents' home so that he could attend Hawaii's esteemed Punahou Academy..."
The truth is that Barack Hussein Obama aka "Barry Soetoro" first registered for school at the Franciscan Asisi Primary School on 1 January 1968. He then attended Asisi Primary School for 3 years before finally transfering to Besuki Primary School.
Unlike the Franciscan Asisi Primary School, Besuki would have at the time had compulsory religious classes.
We are still left with the question as to why Obama's mother would have sent her son to live in Hawaii. Surely anyone who has a child would find it hard to imagine how a mother could send her son overseas at such a young age to live with his grandparents.
"I was not raised in a particularly religious household, as undoubtedly many in the audience were. My father, who returned to Kenya when I was just two, was born Muslim but as an adult became an atheist. My mother, whose parents were non-practicing Baptists and Methodists, was probably one of the most spiritual and kindest people I've ever known, but grew up with a healthy skepticism of organized religion herself. As a consequence, so did I.
Barack Hussein Obama - 28 June 2006
This story never seemed to make much sense, I always wondered why Ann Dunham would have remarried to another Muslim man from Indonesia after her first marriage to a Muslim from Kenya.
The evidence seems to show that both Ann Dunham and her husband Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo were in act devout Muslims themselves and they raised their son as such.
To further support this, two of Obama's classmates in Indonesia at the time one who is now the CEO of Indonesia's national airline and the other a bank manager in Jakarta remember a very different Obama, a very religious 'Barry Soetoro', one that was well versed in Islam and liked to recite his prayers.
"Barry was previously quite religious in Islam. His birth father, Barack Hussein Obama was a Muslim economist from Kenya. Before marrying Ann Dunham, Hussein Obama was married to a woman from Kenya who had seven children. All the relatives of Barry's father were very devout Muslims"
"He was often in the prayer room wearing a 'sarong', at that time, he was quite religious in Islam but only after marrying Michelle, he changed his religion."
The comments by Garuda Indonesia's CEO perhaps can give a glimpse into the hearts and the desires of all Indonesians (especially those who knew him), and that is, that not only did he change his name from Barry Soetoro to a more Islamic name Barack Hussein Obama, but he remained a muslim all his life and that his later conversion to Christianity in 1992 was perhaps not sincere, that he only changed his religion only so that he could marry Michelle.
Rony extrapolates further that Obama at one point had to change his religion if he ever intended later to run for the office of President of the United States because America would never elect a muslim to the be President of the United States.
The issue here is not whether or not Obama and his family were devout Muslims, whether or not he attended a madrassa as a child. But why the deception concerning his past?
The more the evidence unfolds, the more the American people will see that Barack Obama has not been completely forthcoming with the American people.

Nothing more then self righteous intellectual intimidation...
The true origin of her quest originated with the group who would of benefited at the time, Clintonistas. The fact the Conservatives latched on it at a later date is irrelevant but not to someone who job is to throw out Straw mans. This is a straw man, a diversion. Obama's real weakness is his policies, voting record, flip-flops and associations. Obama can take all of this religious and race attack all day long while hiding his true self (ie Marxist).
This is a wining tactic, for them, to paint Conservatives in a negative light in order to pick up votes from moderates.

Frankly, there are lots of Muslims whose beliefs are more peaceful and rational and consistent with the Constitution, than the vile stuff spewed by Reverend Wright. They why aren't there any Moslem countries where women are equal citizens?

They don't have to teach, and they face no quotas on what they publish. Their only mandate is to work in the tradition of Einstein, wrestling with the most vexing problems in the universe.
Holy macaroni and cheese, how in the world do you get a job like that? I mean, they don't even have to come up with any answers. I wonder how you fill out the job application, "As a razor sharp person, I ruminate at least three times a day on which came first, the chicken or the egg." What's the job title? Most vexing universal problems wrestler? Will that even fit on a regular size business card? This sounds like an episode of Star Trek where some planet is ruled by a group of "Thinkers" who got everyone hoodwinked into actually listening to them until Captain Kirk gets the super hot looking girl "Thinker" to fall in love with him and then, after beating the snot out of a jealous male "Thinker", exposes them as a band of frauds and the whole planet goes back to being cavemen or something. Sadly, if this "genius" had just read a book about urban legends and how they're spread in the internet age, she could have saved herself a lot of time. But I guess that wouldn't take a lot of wrestling. Maybe this "elite" bunch are a lot like artistes- they have to suffer.

It is just me, or does the author clearly have the hots for this Allen woman? Half of the article is about how this Allen woman is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Let’s make you famous expatguy.
Here is a link to expatguy’s blog. As expatguy has stated, no one has dared even challenge the information on his website regarding Obama’s childhood. As far as I’ve seen, expatguy is the most informed English language journalist/correspondent in the world specializing in Obama’s childhood in Jakarta Indonesia.
I strongly suggest you all, Freeper and lurker alike, to browse his website:

Exactly. This whole spread the word that Obama is really a Muslim campaign is helping, not hurting him, because it makes a big chunk of his political opponents 1) look ignorant, and 2) not spend their energy drawing attention to REAL problems with him. I've just mysteriously been placed on moderated status, presumably for trying to get the truth out to a large portion of our side who still don't get what Obama and company are about. And if people here don't yet get it, what does that say for the rest of the population? Hint: we're in big trouble. Hard to believe that people on our side are apparently trying to silence me. Then again, maybe there's some other reason which I can't at the moment imagine.

I think it matters because muslims by and large fell under the sphere of influence of the former Soviet Union. Throughout the muslim world you find them easily co-opted by marxists who played on their antipathy for European colonizers and/or Jews. Many collectivist regimes are run hand-in-glove with Islam. I see what you mean. BTW, you are an excellent writer and thinker. You should do this professionally.
From WorldThreats.com:
"Chavez pledged that his country would 'stay by Iran at any time and under any condition,' state television reported. Ahmadinejad said he saw in Chavez a kindred spirit." "'We do not have any limitation in cooperation,' Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. 'Iran and Venezuela are next to each other and supporters of each other. Chavez is a source of a progressive and revolutionary current in South America and his stance in restricting imperialism is tangible.'":

From National Public Radio (NPR):
"Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has been visiting countries such as China, Iran and Russia as part of an effort to build a 'strategic alliance' of interests not beholden to the United States. He considers the United States his arch enemy.":

From NewsBusters.org:
BARACK OBAMA CLIP #1, DATED MAY 18: Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don't pose a serious threat to us.
OBAMA CLIP #2, DATED MAY 18: Iran, they spend 1/100th of what we spend on the military. I mean, if Iran ever tried to pose a serious threat to us, they wouldn't stand a chance.
OBAMA CLIP #3, DATED MAY 20: Iran is a grave threat. It has an illicit nuclear program. It supports terrorism across the regions and militias in Iraq. It threatens Israel's existence. It denies the Holocaust.

It also aggressively disregards the fundamental principle of free societies that one be able to debate one's accusers. According to the article, Dr. Danielle Allen is one of the most brilliant people on the face of the earth.

Holy macaroni and cheese, how in the world do you get a job like that? I think it would be fascinating to discover how Danielle Allen got her gig and just what her qualifications are for promotion to an "Einstein-level thinking" position. Is she a "quota Einstein?" Her use of taxpayer funds to engage in partisan politics and anti-free speech "research" makes me wonder.

Have you ever noticed that you never see Barry Obama and Osama bin Laden at the same time? Mighty suspicious.
I’m really ticked that I didn’t make the article. Maybe if I work at it I can make Barry’s smear website.
