On Many Issues, Americans Favor McCain's Solutions

WASHINGTON -- If the presidential election hinged on who could best protect us from terrorism, veteran Sen. John McCain would probably defeat freshman Sen. Barack Obama.

The Arizona Republican beats the Illinois Democrat by 19 points (52 percent to 33 percent) when voters are asked who would do a better job on that issue, according to the latest USA Today/Gallup Poll.

The inadvisability of answering loaded hypothetical questions aside, no wonder Charlie Black, McCain's top strategist, told Fortune magazine that the senator's stock would rise if there was a terrorist attack between now and Election Day.

On the bedrock issue of terrorism, Americans trust the decorated war veteran, fighter pilot and national-security leader far more than they do the youthful, inexperienced former neighborhood organizer from Chicago.

"The other seven issues in order of their importance to Americans are energy, including gas prices; the economy; the situation in Iraq; health care; taxes; moral values; and illegal immigration. They are roughly even on Iraq (43 percent to 43 percent), moral values and illegal immigration, but Obama leads McCain on health care, taxes, energy and the economy. "

OMG. Moral values rate SIXTH. SIXTH? Let's just elect Manson. He'll handle the terrorists. Tell him he gets virgins. And BILLIONS on illegal immigration. BILLIONS, and our men can't rate money to properly fight the war. This is the saddest post of all. Gas prices suck, but come on, folks. The priority list sucks a whole lot worse.

Obama can't even find his actual birth certificate. Why would anyone trust him to watch over the Constitution?

If his mother was on welfare, how did they have the money to send him to an exclusive private school in Hawaii? There are a lot of things about Obama’s past that don’t add up.

Very true....and it’s purely amazing that he has gotten this far.

The RNC needs to have a specific 5 issue campaign to push these ideas to the public so they will ac tually see 5 policy differences between the Pubs and Dems, ole John and the Messiah. Make it a national campaign. After all, it is the truth and Newt did it in ‘94. Though Dems will win Congress, it might cut down the horrid losses predicted. And ole John might even win. Americans , according to a poll today, do not want socialism and that is what BHO proposes. McCain should fight that brand tooth and nail.

BO's grandmother, paid for his schooling (despite the fact that BO would have been considered a "disgrace" on his extended family, as the bi-racial product of a smooth-talking, opportunistic, child-abandoning African bigamist).

BO later expressed his gratitude, by referring to her as a "typical white person" (because she would react with concern, to seeing black males on the streets)
