Kentucky Senate: McConnell Gains, But Still Below 50%

United States Senator Mitch McConnell has a seven-point advantage over Democratic challenger Bruce Lunsford in the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Kentucky voters. It’s McConnell 48%, Lunsford 41%.

Mitch McConnell is probably the only GOP Senator that I would feel good about voting for. Too bad he’s not running in my state.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell released the following statement Thursday following a 5-4 Supreme Court ruling upholding the Second Amendment rights of citizens of the District of Colombia:

“Today the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects the individual right of law-abiding citizens of the District of Colombia to protect themselves in their own homes. This landmark ruling will ensure that regardless of where citizens reside, the government will respect their rights that are guaranteed by the Second Amendment.”

I suggest we create a "Jim's List" like Emily's List to channel FR support to a select few conservatives in the House, and maybe even a couple in the Senate. Mitch McConnel should be on that list.

Those who can't handle how the presidential race looks or feel we don't have a dog in the hunt--we have lots of good dogs in lots of national hunts that we can mobiize for and donate to.

And if we can't get a House majority, maybe we can get better minority representatives. Look at what happened to Chris Cannon of Utah!

Beating Cannon was great. McConnell is a good guy and he should be a priority for all of us. The press is trying to promote this third party diptick to help the Dem.
