Leading Dem Admits the Party Has No Answers to Skyrocketing Gas Prices
Gateway Pundit | June 27, 2008

A leading democrat says Americans need to get used to paying $5 to $6 a gallon for their gas.

U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Miramar, has a double dose of predictions on gasoline prices that nobody wants to hear: Prices are going up a lot more, he says, and the nation doesn't have any good ways to bring prices down.

Alger hastings is a lying piece of excreta; the left wing rats want high gas prices. It solidifies the socialist control of the little people and the Al Gores of the party will continue to have plenty of fuel for their private jets. Furthermore, keeping fuel at record levels puts more money into the middle east oil interest rat-party partners.

Now, let’s join hands and attack farmers again for producing 400 gallons of ETOH/acre of corn.

""There are no short-term answers."

I cannot disagree with this observation.

To quote Lt. Col. West from yesterday's Tammy Bruce show “Shame on people who are the whiners and quitters and only talk about what we cannot do!”

And “The liberal mindset requires misery. The more you create misery; the more you create dependence on the government, which is the goal of the socialists and marxists.”

Isn't that what the global warming kooks want you to believe. We are presently doing NOTHING to find a short term solution, because Washington believes there are none without even trying.

There are short term solutions, but those solutions require politicians to suffer a little pain. They'd rather have the American people suffer, while they relax with all their little perks and power.

Try strengthening the dollar, that would bring prices down immediately. Which would be a start, there are plenty of other things we can do as well.

So WHAT?? The point being is that THERE ARE ANSWERS! But you can’t sit on your arse and surrender and give up. I’m not that kind of American, real Amercians get things done and kick ass when necessary—and the time is getting mighty close...

Our son has put his life at risk for this country far too many times in Iraq for us to do nothing, what a bunch of wimps we have here enjoying their peace and safety. I’m going to see what I can do to rattle their cages, they’ll think peace and safety. I’ve flamed GOP fundraiser callers to the point where they no longer call—’bout time they understood what “NO” means.

In theory there are near term answers. In reality, however, there is a plethora of "self-interests" who will serve as impediments to implementing solutions.

I'll quote Allen West: "Having served this Country in several combat zones, I can attest to this: when in a firefight, a bad decision is better than no decision at all. There can be no doubt as to why this Congress under the presumed leadership of Speaker Pelosi is a collection of whining losers, and we as the American people should not have to suffer for their lack of courage, competence, and character."

I’m thinking that the US needs a gap plan for at least 5 yrs ... enough time for technology to catch up. After that, the House of Saud can eat sand because we’ll be selling technology worldwide.

Its gonna take a lot longer than 5 years. Remember, you can build millions of oil rigs without any energy from a windmill...but you can't build one windmill without consuming a significant amount of oil. The transition to a non-oil based economy will require 40 or 50 years. While thats happening the oil producers will be able to control how much oil you have (aqnd at what price you'll get it) to build your alternative energy infrastructure.

Pres Bush’s minimal response to the energy problem which involves readily available technical solutions.
:::::::
What much of the liberal, hand-waving world does not even bother to consider, is that there is NO SUBSTITUTE for fossil fuels TODAY. None, other than nuke power for electrical generation. Even hybrid vehicles, which are gutless people movers, cannot function without petro fuels.

Until there is a TRUE POWER REPLACEMENT for fossil fuels, such as gasoline, diesel, and fuel oils, we can only do what we can to minimize our vulnerability and dependence on foreign hostile fuel sources which are raping us blind. That solution is generate more of our own fuels, which the radical socialist left in this country is hell-bent on preventing. They will kill America to suit thier sick, unilateral, starvation of America’s energy sources. And the mindless, ignorant voters of this nation had better remember this at the polls in November.

We have a choice between energy starvation and economic and defense disaster, or working toward more independence while we develop new technology.

The House of Reps is out of the loop when it comes to high gas prices. Any congresscriter, at govt expense, can rent any type of car/vehicle, gas is included, as well as insurance, registration and maintenace. I repeat, they do not pay for GAS! Mr. Hastings rents a non-American 2006 Infinti M45.

It’s a damn good thing that the patriots during WW II didn’t get convinced that we couldn’t shoot, build, and in every way... fight our way out of it.

“Drill or Die”......

This energy crisis needs to be attacked at EVERY level and by ALL American’s helping in the cause, and it needs to be done right damn NOW.

We are being made to get down on our knees....we need to fight back...we need leaders to get their heads out of the sand or we may see a time, in the not too distant future, when we are forced to “shot our way out of this”. That nightmare will hurt our country, but we can’t just sit and let theses leaders do nothing.

This winter, many of the old, the sick, and the poor will die because of the incompetence of those in power. Many are going to have great regrets.

“Drill or Die”......
