Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is winning the race against Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in battleground states. A new Quinnipiac/WSJ/WP poll said on Thursday that the freshman senator leads from five to as much as 17 points among voters in four key states.
Obama narrowly has the support of voters in Colorado, where he leads McCain 49% to 44%. The Republican, however, has the edge among men, 50% to 45%, and whites, 47%to 46%.
In Michigan, Obama wins with 48% while McCain trails with 42%. The Illinois senator has a whopping lead among women, 52% to 38%, and African-Americans, 89% to 6%. But again McCain leads among whites, 48% to 42%, and men, 46% and 45%.
Minnesota voters also chose Obama over McCain, 52% to 39%. Obama's 17-point lead is the biggest among the four states, and is due to his overwhelming support among nearly all demographics. The freshman senator beats McCain even among whites, 49% to 42%, and men, 51% to 40%.
The picture in Wisconsin for McCain is not much different. The Arizona senator trails his rival, 39% to 52%.
"Sen. McCain's lead among white voters in Colorado and Michigan cuts the gap to single digits, but doesn't offset Sen. Obama's strength among other groups. The Democrat also leads by eight to 21 percentage points among independent voters in each state," Quinnipiac University said in a release.
"But Sen. Obama should not be picking out the drapes for the Oval Office just yet. His lead nationally, and double digits in some key states, is not hugely different from where Sen. John Kerry stood four years ago at this point in the campaign," Quinnipiac University Polling Institute Assistant Director Peter Brown added.
Controlling the media has absolutely nothing to do with this. The effects on the economy and extraneous factors will speak loudly for themselves. You cannot spin things when gas is $10 a gallon and the economy goes into deep depression. There will be an uproar from the population and mass dissension from the liberal ranks. Confidence in the government will be zero. If the nation gets attacked by a WMD Obama and Congress will be running for their lives from the masses and the military who will revolt.
You think too highly of the intelligence of these idiots and must read way too many conspiracy theory websites.
It's even happened in this country, within living memory. FDR and the 'Rats were able to blame the Great Depression on the Republicans and parlay the misery of the sheeple into The New Deal, and shut Republicans out of power for a generation. Look for the Obamamaniacs to take a page out of that playbook.
The Obamamites are dead men walking as there are greater forces at work here which will crush them like the ants that they are. There is no possible defense that they and their media cohorts can conceive of, nor implement that will save or strengthen them. Their time of judgement has come and the blame is going to them and will stick like fly paper. Just think of them as the roadside bomber who gets killed when the bomb he is planting spontaneously detonates.
So is your solution for all conservatives to move out of America? That is as ingenious as your “sounds like you can’t read” comment.
“For the first time in my life I am really ashamed of so many Americans who obviously hsve no brain.”
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Are you young? It sure ain’t the first time for this old phart.
“They will “hear” the message through their pocketbook.”
By then...it may already be too late. Study history and SEE how such things develop.
“I’m not quitting. I will do my darndest to see that the country isn’t handed over to an Alinsky-Fabian socialist without a fight.”
Ant this is what all TRUE conservatives will do! ;-)
Do you really want it to get that bad?
...Good grief!
Good for you! You know your history! ;-)
“Do you really want it to get that bad?”
No, but this is what is headed our way and we are on a collision course to get there.
Hmmmm, you sound as defeatist and pessimistic as a (dare I say this?) Democrat.
No, I have always been a conservative Republican and a realist.
That doesn’t change what you sound like.
Being a realist is what it is and comes from an detailed analysis of the facts. The fact is this nation’s core values have degraded significantly within the last twenty years and the education system is producing people who really cannot think critically to solve our problems.
It lacks a detailed analysis of history with regard to cause and effect.
On these points, I agree with you:
“The fact is this nations core values have degraded significantly within the last twenty years and the education system is producing people who really cannot think critically to solve our problems.”
...which makes me all the more sure that we cannot allow Obama to become president. Allowing him to be president will only ensure that overall values become even worse, the system of public education will sink even deeper into the quagmire.....and some very troubling outcomes with regard to national security will ensue.
That's the first thing I looked for. Closest I found was this-

Word Doc here-

which, from the little that I have scanned, mostly shows percentages and not the total count for each party affiliation.
Page 4 gives a total number of people that were polled but not a breakdown by party affiliation.
1,351 Colorado likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.7 percent;
1,411 Michigan likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.6 percent;
1,572 Minnesota likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percent;
1,537 Wisconsin likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percent.
Why? It’s only June. Just do your part and vote for McCain.
I don’t have the time to post all of my analysis of history, but post my conclusions that come from it. I am the same conclusion you are about Obama I only hope a majority of people in this country have come to the same realization. The fact that someone like him who has such dubious character and qualifications is competitive in the race for the highest office in the land is a great indicator how far our values have slipped. Obama is the candidate of the “American Idol” crowd which is comprised of people with shallow values and a 30-second attention span.
