Kim Whitley (in the Obama shirt), Flo Rida, Lil Mama, Young Joc and Mc Lyte praise Obama from the red carpet at the Black Entertainment Awards in America. BBC has video of the interviews HERE.
The BET crowd joined together to holler "Obama or Die" (video here) last night at the annual awards show. MyWay reported:
Barack Obama didn't attend the BET Awards, but that didn't stop attendees from talking about him.
"If we all register and vote, we will have the first black president in the history of America," Sean "Diddy" Combs told the crowd Tuesday at the Shrine Auditorium before chanting "Obama or Die" - a declarative remix of his neutral "Vote or Die" motto from the 2004 presidential election, when he attempted to boost the youth vote.
Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, was just a few blocks away at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for a fundraiser with a Hollywood guest list that included supermodels Heidi Klum and Cindy Crawford, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and movie stars Samuel L. Jackson and John Malkovich. While Obama didn't make an appearance at the BET Awards - either live or on tape - his presence was felt.
As she picked up her award for best female R&B artist, Alicia Keys told the crowd that it's time for black people to erase the word "can't" from their vocabulary.

"Together we can do anything," she said, playing on the Democrat's "Yes We Can" mantra before shouting: "Obama y'all!" It does make you wonder what the inaugural ball will be like come January.
Spoken in topical humor and no racial overtones expressed or implied.
They are Classy, in a very trashy way.. no , make that .. they are Classic.. control freaks.
mulling over a new tagline.
There’s probably a degree of truth to that statement.
If Obama loses the election there will probably be riots in places like Watts and such where there will be some deaths and local businesses will be destroyed. And as before, the Korean shop oweners will pull out their full autos to protect their stores. (One of the more impressive things I saw of the Rodney King riots)
“Vote or Die” didn’t endorse a particular candidate. Now the advocacy is explicit. Defund any 501c3 tax cheat that associates with this scampaign.
Rock the Vote, Hip Hop Caucus, all of them.
Perhaps. I live in Thugland...oops...Oakland. Not long ago I was walking on the sidewalk and met a 20-something black man coming toward me. As we passed he turned to me and said “Barack Obama” in a fairly aggressive manner. I don’t think it was his intent to engage me in political discourse.
Sounds to me like the verbal equivalent of waving a noose around in a threatening taunt.
Obama or die huh, well in that case you’ve changed my mind! I’ll gladly vote Obama now! (sacrasm)
Of course they forget which side has all the guns... and the military experience... and the will to fight.
“Live Free or Die” has done a 180. Sad.
Yes, there will.
I agree. Win or lose there will be riots in several cities across America. But it wont happen on my block....or at least not for very long.
Just take out Insurance through “Smith and Wesson”.
I disagree, Obama will go out with a Whimper and an astounding defeat, and little skinny Obama will just be another Democrat wuss up on Capital Hill.
Fo’zizzle!
The creature in Men In Black said it best,
“Your offer is accepted.”
I think I will start me up a White Entertainment Television network.
What? Would that be racist???????
How about a United Caucasian College Fund? What?
OH, and I misplaced this post on another thread....I meant to post on this thread:
I would encourage all these folks to go out and vote for their man! Remember...Vote Obama on Nov.5th!!!!
Without question.
I like your version of events better and I hope you are right, but I’m not seeing it that way.
I think Obama will lose, and I think certain portion of major cities will erupt in violence.
