Since his mother was an American, I don’t think it matters.
Now if you could show that his mother was really another woman, that might make a difference... Or maybe that his mother renounced her citizenship before he was born.

Well, no job is done until the paper work is complete. When a child is born to a US Citizen abroad, they (the parent or parents) have to file a report of the birth and apply for a CRBA (Consular Report of Birth Abroad). I had to do this with my son in Germany and I got the certificate saying he was a citizen. I never did go back and finish up the whole process, telling him if he was interested in going the distance he'd have to do that himself. I did however get him a US passport and told him never to lose it or let it lapse....
The point of this? Well, Obama might likely have a tough time proving he's a citizen if his mother didn't get the paperwork started....

Homobama could just release his real birth certificate and put all this speculation to rest. I’m just sayin’.

For any of this to matter, it has to be shown that Obama was born outside of the U.S. If he was born in Hawaii in 1961, the citizenship status or length of U.S. residency of his mother is irrelevant.

You mean like a Jackal? Would that make him the 666 guy?

"Since his mother was an American, I dont think it matters." That's what I was thinking when I first heard of this. But I saw somewhere on an earlier post on this subject that the mother would have had to have had 5 years U.S. residence after the age of 16. As she was only 19 or 20 when he was born she didn't meet that requirement. I'll see if I can find that post and if I can I'll get back to you.

OK, I found the article in question
HERE. If the article is true it would seem that if he wasn't actually born on US soil he is not a citizen.

Perhaps citizenship is not the issue, but rather name, religion, married or unmarried, etc.
