Well, no job is done until the paper work is complete. When a child is born to a US Citizen abroad, they (the parent or parents) have to file a report of the birth and apply for a CRBA (Consular Report of Birth Abroad). I had to do this with my son in Germany and I got the certificate saying he was a citizen. I never did go back and finish up the whole process, telling him if he was interested in going the distance he'd have to do that himself. I did however get him a US passport and told him never to lose it or let it lapse....

The point of this? Well, Obama might likely have a tough time proving he's a citizen if his mother didn't get the paperwork started....

You know, even if it was determined he was not a US citizen...in the world today...I don’t know if it would make a difference. Some liberal judges would probably just rule the Constitution...unconstitutional.

There's a Swiss Canton with rather traditional citizenship laws where I could have gone on or near my 18th birthday and signed up.

They didn't care where you were born, just that you could prove that you had at least one Swiss citizen in your ancestry.

I think it's the same place that is the hardest place in Switzerland for immigrants to gain citizenship.
