Analysis: Faked birth certificate suggests Obama may not be US citizen

t is now a virtual certainty that the "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign as authentic is a photoshopped fake.

The image, purporting to come from the Hawaii Department of Health, has been the subject of intense skepticism in the blogosphere in the past two weeks.

It has become even more suspect with the revelation that variations of the certificate image were posted on the Photobucket image aggregation website -- including one listing the location of Obama's birth as Antarctica, one with the certificate supposedly issued by the government of North Korea, and another including a purported photo of baby Barack -- one of which has a "photo taken" time-stamp just two minutes before the article and accompanying image was posted on the left-wing Daily Kos blog.

That strongly suggests that Daily Kos obtained the image from Photobucket, not the State of Hawaii, the Obama family, or the Obama campaign. Photobucket is not known as a credible supplier of official vital records for any of the fifty states, and the liberties that other Photoshoppers took with the certificates confirms this.

She then took her baby to visit her old friends in Washington, and then set up house with her husband in Hawaii.

July 1909, as per Hawaii Department of Health.

Why do your posts start on June 10, 2008 if you’ve been a member since 2001?

No idea. I was able to scroll back a lot further than that when I looked at my pings.

Exactly. Maybe he was really born a poor black sharecroppers son, with a brother named Steve Martin...

As soon as the name of his dog hits the press, ol' Obie is gonna be toast.

I got a copy of my BC from 1955 in 1984 and it was very clear. And stamped certified. The thing to do is get the stamped numbers on his passport and work backwords.

This BO guy is very dangerous and the people backing him want to bring our country to it's knees.

Review the basics of fascism and communism and listen very closely to what him and his wife are saying.

Why if they are the same revision number, are they different? One says "date filed by Registrar" the other "date accepted by State Registrar"

The only answer I can think of (research may prove me wrong) is that the form is a basic generic blank with border and seal, and the computer prints many specific certificates on it with headings and data fields, including the form and rev line that prints above the pre-printed border.

“...if it was faked.” If the certificate was faked, the reasons are likely one or more of of the following:
1. His father, BOH Sr., was married to a woman in Kenya and never divorced her making him a bigamist under US law.
2. His father who left or divorced Obama’s mother never adopted Barry thereby making his name Obama and his autobiography fraudulent and fictitious. (Liar, liar pants on fire.)
3. The original certificate shows his father's race not as “African” but as “Arab” which the senior Obama would likely claim at the time given that he was a Muslim and considered himself descendant of Arabs in Kenya. (A bit tougher to win the hearts and minds when you are not an African American but an Arab American?)

What you fail to understand is, he should have better forgers. There are glaring spacing issues... especially because it was done by laser printer.

That’s not all, but it’s enough for now.

That’s got me puzzled, too. Why change the field name suddenly. BO’s cert is about a year newer than mine, so if it was changed it would be very recent, since the other certs posted also had the same text as mine.

I’d like to pose a question:

After obama has chosen his running mate and it is found out obama is ineligible to run for president, does his running mate assume the nominee position or would it be hillary?

OK, so you don’t need a birth certificate. But you did have to have naturalization papers. You can’t get a passport just on your word.

Neither did Obama. He had to have something to prove who he was.

Who knows? Maybe he just Photoshopped something. Maybe the feds aren’t as discriminating as bloggers and FReepers.

“There is one simple way for the candidate to clear up the issue once and for all: produce for public inspection and objective analysis the paper copy of his original Hawaiian birth certificate — if one exists”

I’ve already made this request, right here on FR:

That is odd. For instance, I clicked on the Bob S profile page and his pings go back to Jan 2008, even though he’s been on FR since 1997.

OOohhh, yeah, see what the new certificate wording is.

I still don’t understand why Hillary Clinton would not have used this, but it does explain why she didn’t drop out all the way.

“It’s interesting that all of the genuine docs, whether birth or marriage, say “Date Accepted by State Registrar”, while the Obama doc says “Date Filed by Registrar”” (fixed and quoted)

I am going to post this again from the other thread:

http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/06/24/hawaii-vital-records-question-1/#more-386

“Hawaii Vital Records, Question 1
June 24, 2008

...This entry focuses on one of those questions: Why does Obama’s Certification of Live Birth say “Date Filed with Registrar” in the lower left area, in contrast to Patricia Decosta’s certification (offered for comparison), which says “Date Accepted by State Registrar.”...

You can see a larger version of both images on Polarik’s blog...

Readers have offered intriguing ideas. Here is an excerpt from one comment:

As an attorney allow me to work backwards here. Given my familiarity with legislating I submit that the State of Hawaii had a system in place wherein if a proposed certificate of birth was submitted by a hospital or registered medical facility it would, as a matter of administrative rule, be routinely approved and accepted by the State and a Birth Certificate issued. However, if not born in a major hospital or registered medical facility then further proof would be needed upon submission of the proposed certificate. In the instant matter, while a proposed certificate was filed with the Registrar it was not accepted for any number of reasons.

Where a proposed certificate is not accepted then an applicant can ask for a hearing or otherwise submit proof surrounding the circumstances of birth for purposes of having a birth certificate issued. My guess is that Barrack’s (sic) mother never provided adequate proof to the Registrar of the circumstances surrounding Barrack’s birth. This may be because Barrack was born elsewhere, adopted, or who knows…

And here is a quote from another reader:

Here’s my crazy theory based on trying to make a pastiche document myself:
1. The original document was an application to register the baby. That’s why the father is African and the bottom says “filed” on Barack’s.
2. The second document used was either a real certification or a blank form.
3. The artist captured the black part of the original and pasted it over the blank form. That’s why the letters are a little weak looking.
4. The black spot was either a blank because it was a blank form, or it was someone else’s BC and the numbers had to be blanked out.
5. The application was rejected. If it had been accepted, it would have had a number and said accepted.

This is all presuming that the applications are entered in a format that is compatible with the final Birth Certification…

Now, I tried to ask Vital Records why two different Certifications from their office on the same form would use different language, one “filed” and one “accepted” and I was abruptly put on hold for an unusually long period of time, after which I was told that they could not comment and I was referred to another number, where no one answered.””

I was thinking about this issue some more, and I think the attorney is on to something. “Filed” versus “Accepted” is an internal concept of that office, i.e., the nomenclature has two distinctly different meanings.

PS - I had a friend get out of the military years ago. They told him to go home and FILE his discharge papers with his home County Clerk so that if it was ever lost or damaged, they would have it recorded.

Anyone can go to their County Clerk and FILE any important document for posterity and safekeeping in case of loss, fire or.... floods! This does not mean the document was originally ISSUED by that authority, but that it was FILED with them.

Ummm, you have alot of reading to do if you haven’t been clued in to the forgery yet. Have you been living under a rock?
Please read through the previous posts as there are links to an investigative piece that goes as far as to compare the pixels on Obambi’s certificate to a REAL ONE.
I haven’t the time to educate you as to the news but you shouldn’t comment on something you haven’t taken the time to read about.
It doesn’t prove he is/isn’t a citizen but certainly raises more character issues for this brand new, shiny, messianic savior.
SO Yes, it is a forgery because I say so....backed up by a thousand other people as well as International news sources.
Jeez, why would you defend another blatant lie by the empty suit?

“If Stanley Ann Dunham’s passport records show her out of the country at the time of Barack’s birth she could not have been in Hawaii. “

Questions for any Freepers in the know:
1. Are passport records maintained that far back (i.e., 1961)?
2. If so, what is required to access them?

I’m wondering what requirements the government of _Kenya_ has, insofar as accessing visas and travel records are concerned.

Someone with the proper investigative experience - and enough $$$$ - could probably access this data quickly, through legal channels, or even extra-legal channels. Assuming, of course, that the data _is still there_ and hasn’t ... um... “disappeared”.

I wonder if any of Obama’s trips to Kenya were made with the specific purpose of making certain records disappear?

In any case, as this story unfolds, I sense that we should be looking closely not only at records that exist in Hawaii - but just as importantly, or moreso - those that may exist in Kenya.

I’ve never heard of triple citizenship. I don’t understand some of this citizenship stuff. I have a friend who is Canadian and his wife is Danish, but their kids were born here and are dual citizens, Danish and US. It seems like they would be triple citizens if there is such a thing.

Your statement is illogical and nonsensical. In many states (and a growing number) you have to show proof of residency to vote. It’s not up to others to prove you are disqualified to vote.

The Constitution requires that you be born in the United States. Showing valid proof of that birth should be a basic requirement to run for that office, the same way you have to show proof of residency to vote.

In any event, those claiming he was born outside the U.S. have raised sufficient doubts about the validity of his purported “birth certificate.”
