Numerous Free Republic Threads on this matter exist. Of the comments on these threads, the most common is the shocking display of pure narcissism. Difficult to miss, this narcissism also suggests Obama's meaning of the word "change."
What we can expect is not Obama preserving, protecting and defending our Constitution and way of life, but, rather, changes in basic institutions as determined by the will of one man and his supporters. These changes will be deep and involve basic assumptions and policies of the government and American culture.
While these observations are noted here; they are noted only tangentially in the MSM. I believe the reason for active avoidance is the revealing nature of the Presidential Seal changes. Most see this as described above. Those that don’t do so on further consideration.
Obama and the picture of this seal should haunt him through the remainder of the campaign as indicative of who he is and what he plans. But this is not going to happen.
Fox has the story this morning.
We need an oldtime FREEP of the msm (usual suspects) until THEY report this fact and this faux Presidential Seal is plastered on every news outlet in this country.
I will email my local news media and find out when they are going to report this story both on their website and on their nightly news.

Of course, the poster was from the crew of the aircraft carrier—they had completed their mission and were going home. Twisted and repeated, this poster was, and is, used as an attack mechanism on the President Bush's character and ability.
We need that—to be sure.

I googled “Obama’s birthplace” and got the following:

ALSO: Kapiolani Hospital did not open until 1989 although the Hospital for women and children was open at the time. This discrepancy in my mind is interesting as there is a descrepancy.
2. Did his mother and father attend school in Hawaii during the summer of 1961 or did they go to Kenya as it is rumored?
3. There is absolutely NO mention of when and where his parents were married. No date, nothing. Obama admits in his biography that he didn’t look this up. There is also no mention of when they were legally divorced if they were at all, since Obama, Sr was presumably married at the time to someone else.
COMMENTS: Again, we are talking about the presidency of the United States here. The birth history and ancestry of the person taking this office should be crystal clear. In fact, it is NOT crystal clear and IT IS BASED ENTIRELY FROM THIS MAN’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY.
The points I raise should be easy to look up. How can one look up the marriage records of the parents?
SOMETHING DOES NOT ADD UP HERE. WHAT IS THIS GUY HIDING?

But the effect was of course used to beat President Bush up in the media ....

We don't have to change the meaning of the presidential seal changes. They are there. They are there with Senator Obama in the background. The seal changes should haunt him. Indeed, as some have pointed out, the changes he made might be in violation of the law. But that is the point isn't it.
The "change" that is coming no longer follows the rule of law but the rule of one man and one party.

Obama has to have the most color-coordinated campaign in history. His blue neckties match his website.
The blue is an interesting choice. I actually think it fits Obama’s demeanor pretty well — soothing and cool. But what’s really interesting is the blue eagle on the seal. Roosevelt’s soft-fascist National Recovery Administration used that symbol. Businesses who participated in the NRA’s massive patriotic regulatory schemes displayed the eagle in their window.
There’s no way Obama and his people couldn’t be aware of this. Most liberals love the New Deal era with it great unifying crisis and great collective effort to fix it. There was a lessening of the individual and an increase in the group. There was unity of purpose, a true politics of meaning. Liberals love that stuff. Somehow you can just imagine Obama daydreaming about presiding over a modern New Deal America and I think his seal is consistent with that.
