A lawyer for the 16-year-old daughter of polygamist group leader Warren Jeffs is requesting a restraining order to prevent a spokesman for the group from intimidating and harassing the girl.
The request for a restraining order against Willie Jessop was filed in San Angelo today by Natalie Malonis.
The teenager was one of the hundreds of children taken from the Yearning For Zion Ranch by Texas Child Protective Services in April because investigators believed they were exposed to abuse by members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Her name is not being disclosed because Malonis has said that she is a victim of sexual abuse.
Malonis, of Dallas, maintains in her request that Jessop has ''engaged in conduct designed to intimidate and harrass'' Malonis and her client.
Several sources close to the case have indicated that the girl is expected to be asked to testify before a Schleicher County grand jury, which next week will begin hearing the state of Texas' criminal case against FLDS members.
Malonis' request comes one day after investigators from the Texas Attorney General's Office attempted to serve the girl with a subpoena, but were unable to locate her.
''I believe that (the girl) was avoiding service because of coercion and improper influence from Willie Jessop,'' the request states.
Jessop called the petition "outrageous."
"She's trying to blame me for her client not liking her," he said today. "It shows her pathetic mindset. The only thing I ever did was try to get them together."

Police believe Jessop, also known as “Willie the Thug” or “King Willie” in the dossiers, is the primary FLDS “enforcer” and has a passion for violence, weapons (legal and illegal) and explosives.
On the third day of Warren Jeffs’ trial, Jessop was banned from the courthouse after “it was determined he was attempting to intimidate the witnesses, after he was observed numerous (times) staring menacingly at the witnesses,” according to the dossiers.
Jessop said he and other FLDS men and women who attended Jeffs’ highly publicized trial were there as observers, nothing more.
“That man should be hung after a trial and before sundown.”
I really think we must wait to see if she appears again or not, before concluding he is guilty of anything.
Meanwhile, I hope that all of us who care pray for that poor girl. I can’t prove it, but believe that she might be in great danger.
I don’t think the girl is in danger. She is Warren Jeffs daughter and, if I remember correctly, she threw hissy-fits while in protective custody because she was denied her I-Pod. I thought books, computers, etc. were big no-no’s; I guess some flds are more equal than others.
I think Willie has appointed himself as the advocate for all the flds. I have to admire the attorney for doing what she thinks is best for the child and is not being intimidated by him.
Fit throwers are harder to control.

According to the pro FLDS gov’t raid folks, all of the babies who result from these teen pregnancies should be rounded up at gunpoint and dumped in foster homes. Oh, I forgot, that only applies to the FLDS. Silly me.

Arizona deputies provided Texas law enforcement officials with intelligence on certain members of the FLDS that may try to intimidate witnesses or sect members.
Naturally, Willie Jessop, also known as ‘Willie the Thug’ or ‘Willie the Enforcer’, and his paid mouthpiece, Rod Parker, were of course outraged. They demanded a retraction or else. This of course ignored the sworn affidavit of Sam Bowers on Jessop’s intimidating tactics during the Warren Jeffs trial last year.
Now it seems that, according to a Houston Chronicle report, two lawyers for one of the abused children says that she can’t be found for a subpoena, and that it is due to the intimidation of Jessop. She wants the court to issue a restraining order against him. They also asserts that Jessop is attempting to prevent the girl from testifying before a Grand Jury, according to the CNN report.
Of course Jessop is outraged (what else is new?) about the request. He apparently did not have an explanation on why he had to be present whenever the attorneys wanted to meet with the girl. One of the lawyers stated that Jessop had contacted her and attempted to intimidate her into getting the judge to lift previously issued sanctions designed to protect the girl, who was allegedly ‘spiritually’ married at age 15, in violation of Texas law.
Thankfully, Judge Walther issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting Jessop from having any contact with the girl, according to Brook Adams of the SLC Trib, with a hearing on Tuesday.
Gee, Willie, you have consistently been accused of intimidating tactics, but you want a retraction?

And didn’t the early Mormons have Orin Porter Rockwell as their “Destroying Angel” to take care of problems of the church? If I recall correctly, Rockwell was responsible for several killings and was suspected in the attempted assassination of a Governor (or former Governor, I forget).
Of course, it is probably just a coincidence that shortly after Governor Perry advised the FLDS to obey the law or leave the state (see my earlier post) that the Governor’s Mansion was firebombed.

The way this starts out is that the 16 year old has asked for this but in reality she has asked for a new lawyer, so the lawyer filed these papers. Was this the same lawyer on Nancy Grace a few weeks back?
So the girl doesn’t want any part of the attorney’s allegations, wants a new lawyer, and the judge refuses and accepts the attorney’ “order”.
This is hilarious.

The attorney is an “attorney ad litem” whose sole rsponsibility is to represent “the best interest of the child”. The child does not get a new attorney just because the flds doesn’t like the way this one is handling the case. It is up to the Court to decide if undue influence is at work here.
