I recently heard about this book:
Above Empyrean: A Novel of the Final Days of the War on Islamic Terrorism
by Bruce Herschensohn
Amazon has this to say about it:
Islamist revolutionary terrorists have taken over the United States of America.
Millions of citizens have been killed, imprisoned, and tortured.
The President is missing, his most trusted advisor, Eli Jared, is holed up in a secret government command center.
Without weapons or any communication with the outside world, Jared must figure out how to wrest the fate of the nation away from terrorists bent on obliterating the American way of life.
If anyone here has read this book, what did you think of it?

Wait and see if CAIR has a fit over it and condemns it. If so, buy the book.

Bruce(R) is a bright guy. He used to debate John Tunny(D) on ABC(7) in Los Angeles about 25 years ago. He moped the floor with him.
I wasn’t quite as in tune with globalism as I am today, so I may have missed some nuance back then. He was (and may still be) a member of the CATO Institute. I don’t always agree with it.
I’d like to read this book.
I remember Bruce’s debates with that ass, Tunney (the apple fell far from the tree with him).
I don’t know how far away you are from the Nixon Library but you can get a signed copy of the book tonight. :)
I saw your mention of this. My niece is graduating from high school this evening, and I’m going to attend.
I would like to meet Bruce, so I appreciate the mention.
BTW...I just finished Vince Flynn's "Protect and Defend", which Rush was raving about the other day. Great read....heartily recommend to everyone..
One more question...whatever happened to Tom Clancy? Isn't a new book way overdue from him?
I don't see that at the Amazon site. Am I blind? :)
sounds interesting...
That’s what it says on Borders..I assume if you order at Amazon..they won’t ship until the end of JUne...
Love Vince Flynn’s books!
Ah. I see.
The first part of the Amazon description reminded me of Heinlein’s “Sixth Column.” I wonder if the plot is similar.
“Sisth Column” wasn’t about Islamic revolutionaries though.
“Sixth Column” wasn’t about Islamic revolutionaries though.
About every two years Flynn comes out with a new book and I reread pretty much every one to get me ready for the new release.
The movie studios will “sanitize” Flynn’s books, and film them through the lenses of political correctness. You won’t recognize them. You’ll want to barf... Remember what they did to Clancy’s book when the Muslim terrorists who set off a nuke inside America were morphed into ne-Nazis or some such..
At a minimum, they’ll change the islamonazis into white skinheads and neonazis.
