Yep, it’s a fake that was an attempt to look like the official computer generated Certification of Birth.

I’m pretty sure that this is a settled issue. HI is printing copies out of their database, so this is new copy from historical data.
If there is more going with the copy, it’s interesting, but I’d prefer to pick apart BHO on his issues rather than questionnable documents.

I have looked at this also and back in 1961 I think we only had 3 races, Caucasian, Negroid, and Asian not the menu they have today to choose from.

Certainly looks fake to me. Why would someone fake a birth certificate? Hmmmmmmm.......

My initial feeling was that the whole "birth certificate' issue was just paranoia on the part of conservatives. I shrugged and said, "Of course he's eligible to serve as president, there's no doubt."
When I saw a very modern, computerized birth certificate, I shrugged and said "Just a freshly generated printout, no big deal."

But the evidence that this thing is an actual fake sends up enormous red flags for me. WHY would Obama have a fake birth certificate out for public consumption? I think this could really turn into something huge.

I’d have to hold the document in my hand to know if it is original or not. You can’t just go to Staples and buy the kind of paper the state uses to print birth certificates or dollar bills.

Another question to ask yourself, would you issue a security clearance based on this evidence?

Obama is going to have access to the most classified data our country has.....

Oh God, this again?

When you request a birth certificate from many states nowadays, this is what you get. NOT a photocopy of whatever dusty document was written and signed when you were born. You get a state-sealed computer laser printout just like this one. I had to request a copy of my birth certificate from Virginia a couple of years ago, and the document I received was not unlike this one.

This is a red herring, guys. There’s hundreds of other reasons to fight Obama, but this isn’t one of them.

It's to clean to be an original.
No stamped or embossed seal.
No worn edges or yellowing from age and travel. Also remember that this document would have been handled countless times in numerous countries. (Drivers licenses, school enrollment, passports, etc.)

Even if it is proven he isn’t qualified, it won’t make a difference if we follow recent history. In California in the 2006 elections Jerry Brown (D) was voted in as Attorney General even though there was no argument that he was not qualified to run for the office according to the California Constitution. Result — Nobody had the political courage to pursue it and he is in office today.

Is there a watermark on it anywhere. Most official documents have watermarks to show if they are copied don’t they?

One thing that strikes me,a family researcher who’s seen hundreds of birth certificates from many eras and many states (and several countries),is the paucity of data that’s contained on this certificate.I think it would be easy enough to compare what’s known to be a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate with this one...assuming that this is being officially put forth as a genuine copy of Osama’s birth certificate.

I thought it looked too pristine to be real when someone else showed it on a site.

And that doesn’t look like a typewriter, it is a reprint, they do reprint them now from a computer when requesting a copy. Hell, my original has my footprint and my mother’s thumbprint on it, but if I requested a new one from the state it wouldn’t show that.

But on a positive note, we can get an accurate moonsign reading for him now!

Is there no FReeper in Hawaii who can request a copy of their birth certificate and post it (appropriately redacted) so we can see what a legitimate document looks like?

Are there any Freepers from Hawaii, 40-50 years old, willing to share their birth certificates (with any sensitive info blocked out, of course)????
