The world must embrace a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." So says Al Gore. To do otherwise, he says, will result in a cataclysmic catastrophe. "Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb," warns the website for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. "We have just 10 years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tailspin."
Graciously, Gore tells consumers how to change their lives to curb their carbon-gobbling ways: Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs, use a clothesline, drive a hybrid, use renewable energy, dramatically cut back on consumption. Better still, responsible global citizens can follow Gore's example, because, as he readily points out in his speeches, he lives a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." But if Al Gore is the world's role model for ecology, the planet is doomed.
For someone who says the sky is falling, he appears quite content to let it fall, if his conduct is any measure. He says he recycles and drives a hybrid. And he claims he uses renewable energy credits to offset the pollution he produces when using a private jet to promote his film. (In reality, Paramount Classics, the film's distributor, pays this.)

Betcha Al’s going to be the VP nominee. He has lots of money and actually can claim to have the governmental experience that Barry lacks. He’s a total nutcase but, of course, supported by Hollywood, which is another point in his favor.
Run Al Run.
No way, he is way too fat.
If he had lost a lot of weight, I would agree.
Also, he would have to put his stocks into a trust. He is making way too much money now, why would he want to be VP again?
Big gore would lose weight under obamas plan where we cannot eat all the food we want...
I wonder if big gore does not think that people have been hanging clothes on lines for years...cut energy consumption, driven cars that get better mileage. turned off lights we are not using... not in the name of saving carbon, but I did it to save “my” money.... I could just see Tipper hanging out big gores giant sized boxer shorts...ugh....
We need more people seeing RED than going green!
“The world must embrace a ‘carbon-neutral lifestyle.’”
Which is why I am absolutely certain that the liberal freaks will cancel all future Burning Man events. After all, they shouldn’t be using up all that petrol to drive out to the desert only to create a mountain of garbage and release CO2 in the air by burning the Burning Man. /s
You are right.
Al uses more energy in his Belle Meade, TN home per month then the US poverty thresh hold is. He spent about 14 K in 2006 or 2007 on electricity and gas for his utility bills alone.
Toby sorry I quoted only 14 K for AL in Nashville,TN. Try 30 K.

Well, I do dry my clothes outside when weather permits. Just like the smell of sun dried clothes. Of course, I live in a HA, so I have to drape the laundry all over my deck and patio furniture. Pisses off the HA police which just makes it more fun. As for the rest of your advice, Al, I try my best to live a “carbon-enhancing lifestyle”.
You mean Al Gore, the man whose residence uses more electricity than more than 20 average homes each month? The same Al Gore that flies around in a private jet and drives SUVs?
No apologies needed. I’m sure Al Gore can find some excuse for his hypocrisy and the MSM will bite hook, line and sinker.
