Like Glenn Beck said - drill through the carabu's head, I don't care. Just drill already!

OMG...what are the libs to do?????
The voters want domestic drilling and they need the voters to stay ion office.
But they LOVE all that $$ that the environazi lobbyists give them to not drill.
What a conflict....

This could be the WINNING ISSUE for McCain.

Laura Ingram on Fox news went to a gas station and showed people a picture of ANWAR and ask them to guess what it was. Most thought it was a picture of Mars or another planet.
When they were told what it was and ask if we should drill even if it bothered the caribou they said yes. One black lady said they could put the caribou in a zoo, just drill...lol.

An Executive Order ordering the Commodities Futures Trading Commission to get to the bottom of these oil spikes would send Goldman Sachs and British Petroleum out of the black markets for oil and crude would nosedive yesterday.

The Dems mantra is “we can’t drill our way out of this.” But anyone with a class in basic economics will know that when the oil speculators KNOW that the US is about to open ANWR, the Gulf, and the Montana/ Dakota fields, just the knowledge of that will panic the speculators to sell their paper. The price per bbl. will fall dramatically within two weeks of a decision to open all known American fields.

I don’t know enough about the system to figure out exactly who is causing the unrelenting rise in oil prices, but I DO know enough to realize that someone, at some point, is buying at $xxx a barrel today, then bidding up the price to sell that oil at a much higher price down the road a bit.
Anything that stops the rise will put a serious hitch in the git-along of these speculators.
This is exactly how the housing bubble came about. It burst when the mortgage bubble could no longer support the inflated prices it was causing.

"[Obama] doesn't support new domestic production. He doesn't support new nuclear plants. He doesn't support more traditional use of coal, either." You have to remember that the Muslim religion wants everyone to live under the same conditions that prevailed in the Middle Ages. I guess this is consistent with Obama's call for change. The only problem is that most people thought the change would be a move forward, not backward.

Several years ago the cartoon Dilbert showed almost exactly this scenario. It was a protester protesting drilling in the Dilbert world's version of ANWR. Someone showed him a picture of the place. The guy then basically threw his sign away in disgust.
There's also the Dilbert/Dogbert "fungible" cartoon. Is Scott Adams a closet conservative?

CALL CONGRESS TODAY!
http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/
Tell them that they can't run away and hide during the 4th of July holiday, they have to stay in D.C. and do their jobs. We ran the amnesty sham out of Congress and we can do it again. Call them up and let them know they can't get away with it. Also, shut off the A/C in the Capitol Building, energy savings, you know!

Of course the public favors domestic drilling. The only people who don’t favor it are Congressional Democrats, who rely on environmental groups to get elected. Congressional Democrats prefer that we be burdened with high gasoline prices than that they alienate their environmental constituency.

You are exactly right. The only problem is that Queen Pelosi wants everyone to think we can't drill our way out of this. At least, not until after the elections. She could care less about the average American consumer. If an action doesn't advance her own personal political agenda, she'll have no part of it. Think about it...gas was $2.50/gallon when she assumed power and she pledged to lower the price of gas at that time. Uhh...Nancy...I hate to tell you but gas has gone up about $1.50/gallon on your watch...might be time to do something for us rather than your own political future...you hag!

Well, some of them want to nationalize the oil industry. Then they’ll really have control.

Drill here, Drill now...refine here, refine now, extract here, extract now!
...and watch OPEC drastically cut its prices to try and get in front of it and make it econoimically unfeasable.
We should then take their lower rices and tell our oil companies to continue in any case and insure that in the end, it is them we buy the oil and refined products from, produced here...through trade restrictions and legislation that even the playing field so we can be energy indepenedent from those who hate us and use it as a weapon.

Simple. They should promise to form immediately a commission to investigate the drilling question.

Problem with that is, people are realizing that it is the LIB congress not the President. Now they have to do something and it is going to anger the lobbyists who keep putting $$ in their pockets.
Moral dilemma: Do what is right, or keep taking the $$....and we know libs have NO morals to start with.
