2ndDV, it’s a well known fact that this irrelevant hippie mag led by the president/editor who had a fling with another man BLEEDS Dumocrat blue and even bragged about it in an editorial last year. They’re as relevant political-wise as a used tampon.
That illustration by Victor Juhasz is deplorable. This article is disgusting.
I’m sorry, but this has to be one of the worst things I’ve ever read in my life. It makes me cry.
It’s Rolling Stone. Does anyone here really give a damn?
More to the point, if RS *wasn’t* printing this trash, then I’d be wondering what was really going on.
Screw Matt. This cherub doesnt have a clue. I suffered through the first page of his trash writing and couldnt go further. Save yourself the trouble.
Reading this article was like walking through an open sewer.
Early years
Taibbi spent his childhood in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts, attended Concord Academy, and attended Bard College at Annandale on Hudson, New York, spending his senior year abroad at Leningrad State University. His father is Mike Taibbi, an NBC television reporter.
Career
In 1992 Taibbi moved to Uzbekistan, but was forced to leave six months later after writing articles critical of the country's president, Islom Karimov. Afterwards, Taibbi worked for The Moscow Times as a sports editor, before moving on to work in Russia and Mongolia as a professional athlete and as a correspondent for Montsame, the Mongolian National News Agency.
While playing professional basketball in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, Taibbi contracted a serious case of pneumonia and returned to Boston for treatment. After recovering with his family, he returned to Russia and became editor of the expat paper Living Here. He then joined Mark Ames in 1997 to co-edit the controversial English-language Moscow-based, bi-weekly free newspaper, The eXile. Taibbi said about that experience, "We were out of the reach of American libel law, and we had a situation where we werent really accountable to our advertisers. We had total freedom."
So this RDDB, studies in Russia, Gets booted from Uzbekistan, but when he gets sick he runs home to the good old USA for treatment.
If this guy hates McCain as much as this article indicates, then that reinforces the need to vote for him.
The illustration was one of the most disgusting things that I have seen in some time. It is the scribblings of an immature and diseased mind. I saw McCain’s cell in Hoa Lo prison - the author of this tripe and the twit illustrator wouldn’t last a day there.
Rolling Stone longs for the days when their ilk spat on soldiers, because at least their magazine was relevant then.
That “comic” is absolutely disgusting... Honestly, I don’t even want to read the entire article if this is what this author and his editors think is “funny”. What jerks!
For all his frantic recanting of the many embarrassingly bipartisan episodes from his Senate past, McCain has never betrayed even a nanosecond's worth of memories from the central catastrophe of his life: his capture and torture in a Vietnamese prison.
The leftist tool author is insane. McShill is a 'Rat stooge and he's recanted nothing.
Remember, this rag is Rolling Stone, which had the infamous Obamessiah cover.
Despicable is to soft of a word for this.
Basically true, though the actual place Obama wants to take us is a little older, say, Russia in the 1930s.
Ping.
Taibibi appoears to be an arabic name. It may be a factor driving this POS’ behavior..
Rolling Stone changed the cover of their magazine featuring Obama - replacing ‘radical roots’ with ‘destiny’s child’.
More to point, what if Matt REALLY IS A WEENIE!
I still remember his profile of Mike Huckabee during the campaign. You could just smell his frustration because he really, really wanted to paint Huckabee as a cold, evil, heartless, racist rightwinger, and was thwarted at every turn by Huckabee being nice to him, telling jokes on himself, playing rock music on his bass or being defended by the very people Taibbi approached to try to get gotcha quotes. Lacking anything else, he finally fell back on painting Huckabee as "insane" and "loony" because of his religious beliefs, a tack that RS would consider unforgivable if you used it when talking about a radical Muslim. Or, Heaven forbid, a candidate who spent 20 years attending a church in Chicago run by a genuine paranoid, racist nut.
