“client lacked self-esteem”

New speak for lack of common sense.

said his client lacked self-esteem, "which makes it extremely difficult for him to find a way out."

...stupid statement - he was handed a way out on a silver platter. What he lacks is intelligence.

"People who don't have money transform their lives all the time," Ramos said. "In this case, $2.5 million wasn't enough."

Hang on, I'll scrounge up some more to give him ...

Good Ole Boys- Moe Bandy and Joe Stamply

Well i’ve been kicked out of might near every bar around
I’ve been locked up for drivin’ a hundred and twenty through town
Well i’ve been shot at and cut with a knife
For messing round with another man’s wife
But other than that we ain’t nothing just good ol’ boys

I threw my boss out a window and got fired from my last job
Hot wired a city truck and turned it over in the mayor’s yard
Well i beat my brother-in-law half to death
I lost twenty bucks on his football bet
But other than that we ain’t nothing just good ol’ boys

Good ol’ boys we’re all the same ain’t no way we’ll ever change
Mean no harm by the things we do or the trouble that we get into
Other than a wild hair once in a while we can’t help it it’s just our style
And good ol’ boys is all we’ll ever be

$2.5 million in taxpayer money. Too bad the cops didn’t cap this loser for good.

Poor self-esteem, my a$$. Give me a break. Reminds me of the professional athletes, like Michael Vick, who throw it all away, because they will not put the thug lifestyle behind them. Sometimes you can take the thug out of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the thug.

Mom was probably an illegal and the tax payers flip the bill for his birth and his stay in jail and juvenile hall. Now we are still paying for him.

IMHO the real crime is that this stupid thug received $2.5 million from the city in the first place!

"In 2005, Muñoz, on foot, was struck from behind by a police cruiser as he surrendered after a brief chase.

He was wedged in the vehicle's undercarriage and severely injured. Muñoz said he bolted from police because he was afraid they were going to send him back to prison.

Muñoz sued the city of Anaheim and the Police Department over his injuries and was awarded $2.5 million."

said his client lacked self-esteem

Having worked with inner-city youth, I would have to say that in general they suffer from a bloated surfeit of self-esteem.

Young men who could not be bothered to exercise the slightest bit of self-discipline, young men who cannot manage the rudimentary skills that decent citizens take for granted, will tell you with a straight face that they are strong, tough, brilliant - simply the best that there is and that they deserve to be shown deference.

I've had lefty acquaintances tell me that successful drugdealing enterprises demonstrate that these youth are right about themselves and that only racism prevents them from building legitimate business empires.

I usually point out that they would be much more motivated to succeed in straight jobs if their manager was allowed to kill them for making mistakes as is the case in the narcotics field.

The song "Dear Kindly Officer Krupke" in West Side Story captured this lawyer's attitude, and that of just about every liberal perfectly. It is a very funny song. Too bad they don't make the main stream media listen to it every morning. Here's a link for a performance of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23bKMWrPIxQ&feature=related

About $400 K, zipped in a duffel bag in a locker C-18 at the airport.
