Sign of road rage may be on bumper
Washington Post ^ | June 17, 2008 | Shankar Vedantam

Three horrors await Americans who get behind the wheel of a car for a family road trip this summer: the spiraling price of gas, choruses of "Are we there yet?"—and the road rage of fellow drivers.

Divine intervention might be needed for the first two problems, but science has discovered a solution for the third:

Watch out for cars with bumper stickers.

That's the surprising conclusion of a recent study by Colorado State University social psychologist William Szlemko.

Question Gender.

What does that even MEAN?

I once saw a "Gender is Binary" t-shirt that I thought was pretty clever.

Just like all early 70s VWs (both Bugs and vans) came with the obligatory “McGovern ‘72” sticker.

I’ve always wanted a gold ‘65 Pontiac GTO with a black and gold “Au H2O” sticker. One day...

"The more markers a car has, the more aggressively the person tends to drive when provoked," he said.

That seems rather broad a brush to me..

In seven years of delivery driving, it's been my experience that the majority of aggressive/asshole/road rage drivers in this area have this license plate:

Not ALWAYS, of course, but enough of the time for me to have noticed it through the years.

I told a couple of other drivers about it, and sure enough, they've told me later they now notice the same thing.

LOL at 40 and 29.

I, too, did not get 40 for a while. I don’t think liberals would get it. Too slow.

That was asked earlier and this was my initial thought:

I do recall reading that some felt it was discriminatory to limit choices to male or female on applications such as a driver’s licenses. Perhaps it was that group.

Question Gender.

What does that even MEAN?

It's referencing the common liberal belief that male and female gender roles are learned behavior, rather than instinctive and driven by biology.

Of course, in the circles in which that driver moves, it's probably necessary to question every individual's gender. ;)

Men and women are created equal, but not the SAME.

That’s where Satan comes in - trying to make them the same.

That would be like trying to walk with two left shoes.

That driver’s probably gender insane.

(I just made it up. I have not idea what it means either. I think the game is you can just use the word gender in any sentence in anyway you want.)
