There are things about McCain that I don’t like as well. Potential voters need to keep a very nigh flame under his bottom. Money is essential to McCain and he has to know Obama is NOT going to have a problem with money. The money issue has got to let McCain know just how serious conservatives are because we have to be sure to tell him and the GOP that there are issues he needs to address to receive money and votes from conservatives, but I will not waste my vote on a candidate that has not a chance to win. It would be different if a third party candidate drew enough attention to actually have a chance. But to give it to Obama without some kind of fight is just crazy. I for one do not want the military to go through the changes that Clinton put them through, especially with the war on terror. We have not had another attack since 911 but don’t think for a moment that Bin Laden has given up on attacking the U.S. again. And I don’t want Obama to be the Commander&Chief if we are attacked again because we know he will treat it like it was a homicide case!

He said it. It was on the news when he met with a group of people out west (in AZ?).....

Dead Corpse, the McCainiac apologists and rationalizers here have spent so much of their time lately belittling conservatives like you and me that they have even taken to pulling numbers (percentages) out of their a$$es where Juan has been shoving their principles. A no-vote for McCain is exactly that, nothing more, nothing less. Equating it to a vote for Obama, treason, idiocy, etc. is just argument without reason -— misplaced passion for logic... expediency over principle......

“... George Will thinks we are doomed -— “
If George Will was writing in 1941 he would have bet on the Japanese in World War II. He realizes that Novak is getting old and wants to become the new prince of darkness.

Global warming is an issue he’s bad on, but Obama supported the Senate cap-and-trade bill, and McCain did not.

But Lieberman was knee-deep in that bill, and McCain and Lieberman are like this (holds up two fingers). Some speculate that Lieberman may be McCain's running mate. This is what I mean about perception. Remember, you don't have to sell me on voting for McCain. I'll probably have a McCain sign in my yard. The fact that McCain is facing a hostile media is all the more reason to differentiate himself from Obama in ways that are not subtle. I hope I'm wrong.

One either votes for Oprah’s Obama, or he votes against Obama. The system voters support does not allow a bona fide third option.

Here are the facts:

McCain voted for Ginsberg, as did all but 3 of his fellow senators. That includes a lot of conservative republican senators.

He voted for Breyer. Breyer lost some votes (9), partly because of conflict of interest charges.

A person who was at a meeting said McCain said he voted for those two judges, and he CHARACTERIZED how McCain said it.

NO QUOTE has been released, because no reporter was there, and so far no tape has been produced. We have no idea what context the statement was made, whether he really said it enthusiastically, and in fact whether he actually said it (although I see no reason why he wouldn’t say it, since it is true).

We have no way of knowing if he said it in a manner which would suggest a future pattern, other than that he thinks Presidents should get their judicial nominees, and not have them voted down because of politics.

You can lawyer it up all you want to about release-quotes, sources, etc. But from McCain’s demeanor and pandering to non GOP audiences (La Raza ring a bell?), the media, etc. I believe the context in which his ‘reported’ comment is likely as it has been reported. I’m not a liberal US court, I’m not shilling for Juan.....I’m not voting for him, period. And, before you come back and tell me not voting for him is a vote for Obama and against our military, I’ve been there and I’m not buying it.

You are so right. Surrendering Iraq and Afghanistan to Iran and Al Qaeda are so conservative.
Opposing all local immigration restrictions is so conservative. (McCain sucks here, but Barr has become infected by the ACLU, assuming that he wasn't just Pandering in the past.)
Allowing the ACLU to set up rules in our legal campaign against Islamists in the US is so conservative.

Let me add to what you said. I HAVE lived under 13 straight years of real RED far left liberals when Creepien was in Power. The amount of damage that he and his party did to this country is almost immeasurable. They let in so many immigrants to keep getting votes that the entire Metropolis of Toronto which includes quite a lot of ridings and thereby seats votes ya guessed it - Liberal. With just a few short years of a TRUE conservative Stephen Harper (whom I happen to know personally through a very good long time family friend) is an absolute gem. He confoundes ALL of his opposition over and over and even tho he has a minority government, they still vote with him. He has fulfilled every single campaign promise and marches on doing Conservative and constructive things. He put the Liberal media in their place in about week two. Refused to meet to with them!! LOL. They were so flustered they they nearly stabbed themselves to death. He has held the longest minority reign in Canadian history and we are working our butts off to get him a MAJORITY next time so that he can fill the Supreme Court and change more laws. He has phenomenal wisdom. The contrast is staggering. The United States of America will RUE THE DAY, if it ever elects Barack and Michelle (I might add) OBAMA!! I can’t listen to him or even watch him. I’ve seen it all before and lived it too!! You really don’t want to go there. C0

It is time to call them what they are: Marxists and Communists!

It irritates me enormously when people who should and **DO** know better ( Rush, Hannity, OReilly, et al) timidly use the words “liberal, progressive, socialist, leftist”. Geeze! You would think they would wither and die if the enemy ( Marxists and communists) pointed a finger at them and cried, “You're calling me names!”

With the exception of Rush, the rest work for the FOX network. I’m sure if they used those terms they just might get axed. What think you? CO
