Apparently, another case of “the debate is over”.

Glad we got that settled.

The gay marriage issue will only be over and done with when good people roll over and play dead...
Love didn’t win.. perversion and apathy won..

Funny, 96% of Americans aren't gay and over 80% of states have no legalized same-sex "marriage" (I make it 80% because undoutable a few more liberal states will legalize it sometime soon.)

A lot of states have constitutional amendments banning same-sex "marriage", which of course means that rogue state judges cannot do what they did in Massachusetts and California.

This is why I laughed in my mother-in-law’s face when she claimed that her news source - NewsWeek - was staffed and written by unbiased reporters.

Well, does she mean that gay marriage has won the hearts and minds of liberals, who need to show how tolerant they are? If so, maybe.

But as a legal matter, this is far from settled. There has not yet been a challenge in federal court to the Defense of Marriage Act. The federal government only recognizes marriage between a man and a woman. 27 states have amended their constitutions to define marriage so that judges can’t change the definition of marriage.

California will vote in November whether to define marriage. Arizona and Florida will also have votes on the subject.

If they are talking about the liberal/Hollywood types, then yes, acceptance and approval of same-sex marriage has happened. But as a legal matter, we’re years away from a future U.S. Supreme Court issuing a “Brown vs. Board of Education” type ruling on the subject of marriage.

Any chance of the Dems. in Congress wanting to amend the federal marriage law to allow homosexual marriage? Step right up, Dems., and push the legislation if you feel so strongly about it.

The younger you are, the more likely you are to know someone who is gay. The more likely you are to know someone who is gay, the more likely you are to support gay marriage.

That may be true, but I know a lot of gays and I don't support Gay Marriage. So either I'm an exception, or the entire thesis is incorrect.

BTW, the entire article is shallow, cutesy & dismissive of any opposing arguments. Not worth the time to read it, if you ask me.

Funny, I thought it was over & done with after the good people of California voted AGAINST it a few years back.

Something being legal does not imply that it’s moral. But the proponents of these ungodly unions are hoping that we’re dumb enough to believe just that.

Trust me, do not take this column seriously, Anna is one of the biggest bona fide liberals there ever was. She used to work for the NYT for years as a columnist, I think she makes Maureen Dowd look like a Freeper. Someone used to refer to her as the “The Good Anna.”

Absolutely right! Folks, we can NEVER allow ourselves to believe this is OK. What God says is wrong is WRONG. The courts in California and Massachusetts are not God. He has the final say.
