And word's getting out. In the corner of his office sits Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1987 Jeep Wagoneer, which Goodwin is converting to biodiesel; soon, Neil Young will be shipping him a 1960 Lincoln Continental to transform into a biodiesel--electric hybrid.
I heard about this guy a few months back, with most of the thread devoted to the "it will never work" stone age mindset. Here's hoping he blows everyone out of the water.

Turbine engine? Ask Parnelli Jones how it worked out for him 41 years ago at the Indy 500.

All modern diesels are much quieter and smoother than their older cousins. It has nothing to do with vegetable oil.
Why would GM engineers be fascinated because somebody bolted a Duramax into an H2?
Sounds like the guy is quite the BS artist.
Didn’t we already see this article?

There’s a reason why the US Military went with a gas turbine setup for the Abrams instead of a traditional diesel like it’s counterparts.
To: Red Badger
Nice, if I had money just burning a hole in my pocket I’d send him a 1977 Ford Thunderbird just to see what he could do with a land yacht.

Red, do you info on 0-60mph data for a 3,000lb vehicle and are you correct on the 5K pricetag?

Just think of how much technology has come in those 41 years too. I really hope he pulls this off and wipes the big three’s face in it.

Believe me it is...I have a 90 mile round trip for work every day.
I am to the point that I can barley afford to go to work anymore.
To: Neoliberalnot
That’s $5k for the bolt-on kit, plus the cost of the engine, plus labor...........

You need to adopt my tagline it seems. He is putting in a turbine engine, 60K rpm to charge batteries in a big hurry, then shut off. This is not a diesel, but a jet engine coupled to a generator.
