I was an Anglican vicar, I am now a 'Grace Free Churcher'. What you say is true.

Interesting change -- would you mind if I ask you what brought you to the Grace Free Church as opposed to, say, the African traditional Anglican Churches?

Good to hear from you - well I had hoped that a ‘reformed’ Anglican Church might come about with the Africans. But with forces like the much respected John Stott (and I do respect him) calling for unity the evangelicals couldn't get it together.
I still love the Anglican church and still respect it's believing ministers and remain convinced that I am a true Anglican, supporting the 39 Articles and taking my ordination vows very seriously. But the church had ‘moved on’.

To have come under African alternative Episcopal oversight would have put me under even greater pressure, and my parish would not have taken it lightly.

When I left, a churchplant asked if I would continue to minister to them and I agreed. They had left the Anglican Church as they felt unsupported. So I do secular work and minister part time. It is a delight and I feel like a weight has been lifted from my back.

So I really don't feel like bashing Anglicanism - but it's inability to hold the faith sure and steady is a cause for sorrow. Liberalism rots the soul.

BTW Rowan Williams was my Bishop. Liberal as they come - but also a very kind gentleman.
