No to teaching. I’m in payroll. The last step is to match the actual checks to any corrections we have to make and staple the check copy to the edit sheets (they come in VERY handy during disputes, and they show our handwritten notes of what and why we made corrections). “They” don’t want us doing OT, but I don’t want to spend Monday finishing up last week. We start a new payroll every week. So, for my peace of mind, I finish at home if necessary.

My roommate, an accountant, often takes that kind of work home with her. I see her on her office laptop, typing in data entry forms, certain financial information.

You’re so conscientious you put me to shame.
