According to FNC George W Bush is only the second President to have been afforded the honour of an invite to Windsor Castle the other being Ronald Reagan.

After tea they toured the St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle with the Queen and Prince Philip.

They then flew back to London to the US Ambassador official residence where they will be spending the night before attending a social dinner at 10 Downing Street, amongst the guests tonight are the British Foreign Secretary and Rupert Murdoch.

The menu tonight was:-
Starter - Salmon
Main Course - Roast Beef
Dessert - Summer Fruits Trifle

The President is due to have a breakfast meeting with Tony Blair tomorrow followed by a meeting with the Prime Minister and he will be flying to Belfast for his last venue on what is being billed as the President's farewell trip to Europe.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
President Bush Sends Condolences to Victims of Flooding
Cathédrale Américaine de la Sainte Trinité
Paris, France

THE PRESIDENT: Laura and I had the joy of worshiping here in Paris. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are suffering from the floods in our country; I know there's a lot of people hurting right now and I hope they're able to find some strength in knowing that there is love from a higher being.

Also I want to wish all the fathers in America happy Father's Day. So Dad, if you're listening, happy Father's Day.

Thank you all.

Police stand guard ahead of US President George W. Bush's visit to Windsor Castle. US President George W. Bush is heading for Britain for talks with Prime Minister Gordon Brown on his second-from-last stop on a farewell European tour.

Security is evident for the arrival of US President George W. Bush and his wife Laura at Heathrow Airport in London, Sunday June 15, 2008.

Note from Snugs here, BBC said that in Windsor the security was not noticeably higher than usual as when the Queen is in residence it is very high anyway. So I think we have a biased report here on this photo.
