It has been cold here in Wisconsin to the point where we were in the 40s and even 30s for lows in May.

It shows that the vast majority of the planet has been burning up.

If that were true it would show it to be the warmest ever. Burning up, we're not. You might want to ixnay the yperbole-hay......

Not to mention, I have some serious doubts about the honest accumulation of data by a lot of these folks.

He claims the snow cover was less than normal in the Northern hemisphere, that's bullcrap. He also mentions these other measures claiming 5th coolest etc.

How many articles were there that this was the snowiest winter in 40 or 50 years? And in plenty of places - ever?

Looks to me like Russia and Canada, etc...those in the North are FINALLY getting some warmth....while the southern hemisphere is staying the same, with a little cooling (go to their home page and look at the world picture.)

We, here in Western Washington STATE, have suffered through the coolest Spring in 100 years.....PLEASE SEND GLOBAL WARMING....(It is actually sunshining today! Amazing!)

I don't trust the statistics or the people who manipulate them to get the desired outcome. I'm betting that next year will be the 15th or 16th coolest on record.

I read about a lot of the records, they were mentioned.....

And promptly never re-mentioned again.

Until the first heat wave this year, and now we have to listen to the nonsense day and night about how "we're burning up all over the globe"

Here in the climate change bellwether state of Alaska we have had two days of what might be seen as summer. Yesterday and today. The frost damage from two weeks ago remains. The garden might yet produce something but it is a month behind and less than two months to go of the growing season.

"The Mar/Apr/May combined period was seventh warmest on record."

And?

Since when do we take a snap shot of "Mar/Apr/May" and proclaim anything? And what happens to their stats if we throw in February? I suspect it shatters their intent. Which is scare mongering.

What will Feb/Mar/Apr/May compute too? There's a reason they didn't include February.

It's clear they are just making up numbers to fit their theory

I'm betting that next year will be the 15th or 16th coolest on record.

Don't count on it, even if it is or even if it's colder, they will just claim it's one of the warmest. Whose going to stop them? Obama? McCain?

"--But, lower tropospheric (lowest 5 miles of the atmosphere) global temperatures in May that were measured by balloons and satellites were cooler than normal...

UAH data.....May was 5th coolest RSS data (I just blogged about)...May was 8th coolest.

No doubt there was quite a contrast between the observed surface data and the lower tropospheric data!"

Sooo, the hard data from accurate sources tell us one thing, and the ground units affected by all sorts of human interaction tell us another. I think I will believe the data that was taken accurately from precise machines and not from Bob in his underwear on his porch.

It’s obvious the northern half of North America was ignored entirely.
