I know this may come off as callous and insensitive to some, but it has to be said.
While I have no animus against Tim Russert, I am again in amazement how thoroughly the news world has been turned on its head because of the death of one journalist. One of them.

No, Mr. Russert didn’t suffer. He stepped into eternity...wonder who is next? It’s been said they come in 3’s.

I turned off the radio today about an hour into Hannity’s show as it seemed that’s all he wanted to talk about.

"It is amazing how fast Greta, etc. dropped the stories of the deaths of the four Boy Scouts and the coldblooded shootings of two little girls to rush and worship at the altar of One Of Their Own."That's human nature. I'm not saying it's right but there it is.

Nightline (abc) just reported Russert had an enlarged hearr. What causes an enlarged heart? - booze, swilling scotch in DC is a pastime. I know because I had an enlarged heart working at 15% efficiency until I quit drinking. On top of that Russert was a real lard ass, just look a his pictures. His weight, probably 320 lbs or more, didn't help him. Don't get me wrong; he was the best of the NBC newsmen, he just didn't take care of himself.

No, Mr. Russert didnt suffer. He stepped into eternity...wonder who is next? Its been said they come in 3s. Already happened. Russert was # 3.
First was Jim McKay, second was NBC sportscaster Charlie Jones (age 77, heart attack) who was memorable for his NFL work, and third was Russert.
Actually, if you want to stretch it, former Buffalo Bill lineman Mitch Frerotte (cousin of Gus Frerotte) died of a heart attack Wednesday at 43.

"What causes an enlarged heart?"Congestive heart failure is a common cause. I don't think alcohol consumption is exactly behind this. If anyone disagrees feel free to jump in.

Was there some incident during the campaign, where Russert angered Hillary?
(seem to recall something?)
Not saying anything. Just asking...

Cardiomyopathy can enlarge the heart. It may be viral or chemically induced by alcohol or drugs, including those prescribed by an MD.
My wife has cardiomyopathy, diagnosed five years ago after receiving chemo for breast cancer. She's doing OK with treatment, but at 41, she'll never be as healthy as most of her peers.

"Cardiomyopathy can enlarge the heart. It may be viral or chemically induced by alcohol or drugs, including those prescribed by an MD."Enlargement of the heart can also be caused by athletes who overdo the exercise. This also causes a slow pulse. I don't think this the case in Russert't death.

The NBC film archives will be busy tonight.
Get ready for an endless series of tributes, retrospectives and documentaries.
I’m already tired of the endless coverage and he hasn’t been gone a full day.
Then we will have to go through it all over again in December and January when we are bombarded with Year In Review and biggest story of the year reruns.
If there was a way, media notables and other democrats would have him Knighted before he goes in the ground.
Yet, when a notable non-liberal passes on there is barely a mention on the MSM, other than coverage of the celebrations at liberal colleges and by democrat hate mongers.
Too bad he died so young but he was no friend of conservatives.

Thanks for the prayers. She’s doing well. No cancer recurrence in the past seven years, and her only issue with her heart is fatigue. But otherwise, she feels blessed to have the life she has.
