Why don’t we just invite them to stay? You know, foreign terrorists doing the jobs American terrorists don’t want to do.

McLame’s handlers must have told him people were livid and he’d better say something.

After all, he has a very long history of supporting a ruling of this type.

This decision is NOT against the Bush Administration. It is against the United States of America, our troops, and law-abiding citizens. Scalia’s dissent is haunting and should wake us up.

McCain needs to shout this from the rooftops...and then he’ll take NJ.

Effectively the prisoners at Guantanamo now have more rights than the soldiers who are guarding them.

Is this the same John McCain who wants Gitmo closed?
Because this ruling is going to accomplish that.

It wasn’t a legal decision because like Lawrence v. Texas and the invocation of International Law in the Clinton impeachment, it was grounded in an agenda and not law.

This bastard has backed...

1. Geneva Convention Status for the Terrorists
2. Closing Gitmo
3. Forbidding water boarding

These have been the Democrats and Terrorit’s wishes from the get-go. Now John wants us to buy off on the idea he thinks this SCOUTS decision is bad.

Frankly, it’s way out of character for John to come down on this issue the way he has. I find him not credible to believe here.

If you want to be taken as a Conservative John, how about acting like one most of them time, and quit flipping off (figuratively) those who are Conservatives.

We are now going to have the courts flooded with so-called … habeas corpus suits against the government, whether it be about the diet, whether it be about the reading material

McCain needs to do his homework.

Just like his Shiite/Sunni "problem", he shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what Habeas lawsuits involve. They don't have a thing to do with diet or reading material or any other such nonsense.

McCain has some audacity - for years he has pushed for and supported liberal judges...he sat on his hands and said nothing when the leftists were sent the the senate for review. McCain is the worse thing that could ever happen to the conservative party...at least with Obama we know our enemy and will coalese to fight him, with McCain he will destroy what is left of the moral and conservative conscience of our country.

The answer to the Supreme Court decision is rather simple:

We will no longer take prisoners. ;-)

This was the last thing I expected to read in regards to McCain. I must say I am pleasantly surprised...

He’s right.

It should have been a ship in the middle of the ocean. The ship shouldn’t even be registered in the US.
Terrorists arrive, are rigorously interrogated, and depart through the garbage chute. When the war is over, evacuate the crew and scuttle the ship.

This will be one of the best campaign issues for the GOP this year.

I am certain the vast majority of the VOTING public sees this ruling as antithema to their existential aspirations.

This is a win/win situation for mcloon.

He gets his dream of Gitmo being shut down fulfilled and he is handed the opportunity to attack the decision and show his “conservative” bona fides handed to him on a silver platter.

Talk about the devils own luck...
